Black Bear Meadows offers countless opportunities for world class recreation right out the front door. Winter is amazing at the cabin (especially if you LOVE snow). Whether you choose to snowmobile, cross country ski or snow shoe, winter is an amazing time to stay.

For our summertime guests, you can leave right from the driveway and connect with the famous Island Park Trail system and ride countless trails on ATVs or mountain bikes. A popular ride is the scenic old rail line in to West Yellowstone (approx 20 miles). There is a shop that rents mountain bikes, ATVs and canoes/paddle boards located less than a mile from the cabin.

If you need time to relax and rejuvenate from all of your adventures you will love the serene and peaceful 180 degree views off the back covered porch of the meadow and Two Top. Fire up the BBQ grill and eat your meals seated at the table on the back porch. Be sure to use our roasting sticks and roast a marshmallow or two in the fire pit as it becomes night falls and bring your telescope to star gaze at the wide open sky.

The inside of the cabin has an inviting, bright and welcoming feel. Upon entering the front foyer you will immediately find yourself drawn to the large picture window with an unobstructed view of the meadow and Two Top. The main floor great room has comfortable leather couches and a 75 TV. Gorgeous pine tongue and groove ceilings are throughout the whole cabin bringing a little of the outdoors in. The great room also includes a dining room with a large rectangular table. The kitchen is roomy and well stocked with ample space to gather and prepare meals. The beautiful granite countertops and large peninsula offers plenty of counter space for meal prep. From the dining room, french doors lead you to the covered porch which share the same amazing views. You will appreciate the convenience of a half bath off the front foyer.

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The property was absolutely beautiful, and we couldn’t get enough of the view! We’ve rented a lot of VRBOs in the past, and I will say that this is the most well-stocked one that we have ever stayed in. Only 25 min from Yellowstone entrance with grocery store close by. Highly recommend, would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We fully enjoyed our stay for 4 nights at the beautiful home in Island Park. Beds are comfy, home was super clean, easy drive to Yellowstone, and our favorite, Mr Fox came running by a few times a day. The primary bedroom has a ton of space to layout your luggage and the upstairs has several options for sleeping arrangements. We enjoyed one long morning by the fireplace and even had a wonderful surprise of SNOW in June. As Floridians, we loved it. Huge TV, large picturesque windows, and of course, wildlife watching over the field. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay in Island Park! The house was perfect for our group of 10 ranging from 6 to 64. It was the perfect retreat each day from the crowds and traffic in Yellowstone. We did all the major stops in Yellowstone, as well as Grand Tetons. The extra 25 minutes to the house was well worth it to enjoy the space and beauty of the backyard where we saw lots of animals(pronghorn, Elk, moose+baby, fox, coyotes) Plus, the mules ear went into bloom and it was beautiful! Best communication and most well stocked VRBO I’ve stayed in.(Toilet paper, paper towels, Dish soap, trashbags, toiletries, detergent, bear spray, cooler) Literally the best!

We returned from our stay at Black Bear and had a great experience. The place was roomy enough for 5 kids and 4 adults. The pictures depicted exactly what to expect. The toiletries and kitchen stuff were very welcome. The fire pit was a great touch for the kids to enjoy at the end of the long day in the park. The views- I cannot say how many amazing sunsets we saw but wow! Bring your binoculars for wildlife spotting as well- the kids were able to see a bear way off in the distance. Would stay here again. While it is 25-ish minutes from West Yellowstone- it made for a great way to end the day and watch the sunrise and sunset.

This cabin was perfect for our family of 10. There were plenty of spaces for all of us to sleep comfortably. The home looks exactly as you see it pictured. Amazing window view of the mountains. Although it is in a neighborhood, you still felt secluded from neighbors in the backyard. Only a 20 minute drive from Yellowstone. A descent grocery store and gas station nearby to get essentials if needed. The only downfall was us Texans not used to a home without AC. The first night was too hot, but once we learned to leave the windows and doors open starting in the afternoon, it would be cool enough for a good night's sleep. Overall, I would totally recommend and stay here again.

We enjoyed this house as a base camp for visiting Yellowstone. It was perfect! There is a great little grocery store just up the road that has everything you need while staying here. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property!

We had a great time at this cabin. The cabin had everything we needed. The kids loved all of the room upstairs so they could have their own space. We had amazing views out the back. We really enjoyed the Island Park area. We rented UTVs one day and road through several trails. Its about a half hour from the west entrance of Yellowstone. We would stay here again. Thanks!
