Surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Black Hills, you'll be just a 22-minute drive from the breathtaking Wind Cave National Park, where you can explore vast underground caverns and witness the incredible wildlife. Please note that Bison Pines VRBO is part of Bison Pines Ranchette, where the hosts live. You'll have the privacy you desire, along with the convenience of an on-site host in case of emergencies or to answer any questions.

As a traveler, you'll enjoy the convenience of free WiFi and a smart TV with DirecTV satellite/cable channels, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. The fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, microwave, coffee maker (Keurig and brew pot), blender, and toaster, allows you to prepare delicious meals. The dining table provides the perfect setting for shared meals.

The cabin's essentials, including bathroom towels, basic soaps, a hair dryer, an iron and board, and comfortable linens, ensure your stay is both comfortable and convenient. With window air conditioning, cove heating, and a living room, you'll be able to unwind in comfort no matter the weather. For entertainment, the cabin has a DVD player, books, and a variety of games and toys for the little ones. Step outside to enjoy the cozy gas fire pit, outdoor play area, beanbag toss, and comfortable outdoor furniture, and soak up the peaceful surroundings. If it's raining, don't worry. You have a 30' x 8' covered porch to sit, grill, and watch for rainbows. There are also a couple of seating areas around the 51 acres.

Suggested Itinerary: Since you'll be staying at Bison Pines VRBO, just south of Custer, you have an excellent home base. It's about 20–30 minutes from Wind Cave National Park and Custer State Park, making it ideal for exploring the southern and central Black Hills while still being within day-trip distance of the Badlands and Devils Tower.

Here's how I'd organize each itinerary to minimize backtracking.

You won’t find a better place to stay. Carmen & Jim are great personable people. Just like being at home the cabin is more than fully furnished and comfortable. With a chance of hail Jim moved his tractor out from under cover so we could move our vehicle in. That’s how for thoughtful they are.

Amazing place. New, clean, quiet, lots of small touches, like good towels and toiletries, that make this a great place to stay. Location is also great to get around the southern black hills.

This stay was by far my favorite place. It had all the amenities you could think of. The host was very nice and accommodating. I would 100 % stay there again and my family agrees. My only bad comment was that i couldnt have my senior small, non shedding dog with me. I'm guessing its because of the hosts dog on the property...which i do understand. It was just a bummer i couldnt have my sweet girl with me.

Spent a week taking in all that the black hills area had to offer. This was better than coming home every day. Such a peaceful setting with more than we could have needed. We fixed breakfast and dinner there every day and packed lunch for most days out. Well exceeded our expectations. Extremely clean.
