Summary:

Experience long-range mountain views and warm sunrises at Big Pine Cabin. The new 24 x 32 deck was designed to provide amazing views, space and comfort. Cozy up next to the wood burning fireplace, enjoy dinner with a stunning background and gather with family to enjoy everything the mountains have to offer. After the day’s adventures, soak in the hot tub with long-range views, melt away the stress in the floating chairs or enjoy the family game room! Memorable timesawait at Big Pine Cabin!

The Space:

Your drive to Big Pine is a short 10 minutes from downtown Blairsville but the perfect distance from town to be one with nature. The easy drive from town to the property is dotted with beautiful scenery, fun stops, and rolling hills and pastures. Several attractions are just a short distance away including Brasstown Bald, wineries, hiking trails, Vogel State Park, Helton Creek Falls, and the quaint towns of Young Harris and Hiwassee.

The outdoor space is the crown jewel! The owners built a very large top deck that allows for amazing views of the mountain and sunrises. It has a wood burning fireplace on the left side to enjoy the peace and relaxing sounds of the mountains and cleansing air! It also features a large seating area, dining area, gas grill and plenty of space for other activities.

The downstairs deck offers the hot tub positioned to enjoy the long-range mountain views, two floating chairs and entry into the downstairs game room.

A new carbon backwashing filter system has been installed to balance the well water system.

You will enter the cabin up a short flight of stairs using the electronic lock system. The code will be provided prior to your arrival. For security purposes, the code is changed for each guest for their safety.

Entry is directly into the living room with a vaulted ceiling. The living room has a sofa, two chairs, electric fireplace and smart TV. The dining area and kitchen are just off the living room area with dining table for eight, stainless steel appliances including stove, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator.

There are two bedrooms and one bathroom on the main floor. The king master is on the right of the hallway and the kids bunk room (4 single beds) is at the end. The bathroom is in the hall before the bedrooms.

The loft area is just to the front entry to the right. The loft features one queen bed and one full bed. The second bathroom is located in the loft with a walk-in shower.

The loft also features an additional area for games, reading or putting together a puzzle.

Access to the basement game room is in the hallway off the kitchen. The game room has shuffleboard, foosball, and Pac-Man. There are also other board games and books for the entire family to enjoy.

The downstairs has a full size washer and dryer for the guests to use!

The large pine tree directly off the deck is how this beautiful property got its name. There have been several sightings of black bear at its base and during cub season the mamas like to put the cubs in the tree. There is no reason to be alarmed but if you are one of the lucky ones, please do not approach the bears. It is certainly an amazing sight to see!

We look forward to having you as a guest. See you soon!

A ring camera security system is located at the property. It is focused on the entrance and driveway towards the road. There are no cameras in any common space.

We enjoyed our stay at Big Pine! I would definitely recommend this cabin. I always look for certain things when booking and reading the reviews helps dtermine that. So here goes mine. The location is great. It's convenient to Helen, Blue Ridge and so many others. The drive up to the actual cabin is easy. The front of the cabin sits close to the road so theres not a lot of parking space. I think that might be my only negative and even that wasn't that big of a deal. We only used the king size bed on the main floor but it was super comfortable. The same goes for the sofa. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace each night. And the basket swings on the lower deck were my favorite place to drink a cup of coffee and enjoy the view! I'm always a little concerned when the listing says pet friendly, but there was no odor or dog hair anywhere. The cabin was clean and well stocked with basic amenities. There are cabins nearby but not up close to you. The road is not busy at all so it feels very private. Maybe this review will help someone make a decision about Big Pine. We would definitely stay here again!

Check in was super simple. They were very easy to communicate with. The kitchen had everything we needed. The view was amazing! We had so much fun! We went to Vogel State park and rented a fishing kayak and pedal boat. Then walked the trail to the waterfall. We went to Helton Creek Falls which was a dream. The kids were able to play and swim in the water by the waterfall. We went tubing in Helen and ziplining at Unicoi. We also went to Brasstown Bald which was gorgeous. Lastly we went to Toccoa Swinging Bridge. I would say not to go there in a car. It was very cool though. Kids can play in the river there also. We picked up groceries in Dahlonega because we think that town is very cool to visit (shop and eat). The cool places to visit are endless. Recommend buying good water shoes that you can hike in also. We wore them everywhere.

It was a nice property with everything we needed. The only complaints we have are that some of the towels were stained, and the downstairs bathroom was not cleaned properly. The windows were very dirty. The king bed was very noisy, and the property looked bigger in the pictures than the actual size of the cabin. The location was central to all our needs. The cabin was private and in a nice location. The upstairs bathroom showerhead was loose, the games downstairs were a plus. We loved the nice big deck outside as well.

The deck and view make this property so desirable. It is in a very convenient and beautiful part of the outskirts of Blairsville, so easy to get to town, waterfalls and Brasstown Bald. Would stay again!

We enjoyed our stay, plenty of space for everyone. The hot tub was wonderful after our days out exploring, and the kitchen was well appointed. Hoats were awesome and responsive. We would stay again. Dog friendly, but do note the stairs to the loft and down to the game room are narrow and steep so small dogs may find it a bit challenging.

Big Pine has a million-dollar view at an affordable price. We absolutely loved our stay. The house is comfortable and well equipped. The outside fireplace on the huge deck strung with little lights made the evenings magical. The hot tub on the lower deck had an equally gorgeous view. The location is excellent, easy access to the main road and central to many great places to visit like Blue Ridge, Hiawassee and Dahlonega. If you like wine, you are in luck. The area has 100 wonderful wineries. Our favorite is Crane Creek Winery. We will be back :)

The cabin was as described and in a great location. The view from the deck was amazing and peaceful. Hiking in the area was beautiful. We felt incredibly welcomed by everyone we encountered. The hosts even left us with an a gift of organic soap by a local company. I immediately ordered a bunch from the company as soon as we got home! The only issue (and it was a small one) was that we had to wash the dishes before we could use them. Everything else was perfect and we’d definitely choose to stay again.

The view of the mountains was amazing. It was so good to be able to sit outside and watch both the sunrise and sunset from the upper porch. Green trees everywhere and we even saw a black bear…which I must say was a little scary.
