Great overall weekend! Property is in a great location and was very clean. Watch out for steep drive up!

Excellent place will stay there again

The cabin was very clean and inviting. Cozy atmosphere. Well decorated and large enough for a family of 4. The view was beautiful. The drive to the cabin was unexpectedly steep/curvy but manageable. Well stocked with your day to day needs as far as kitchen utensils/pans/dishes etc. Beds were comfortable. All in all a great stay. Enjoyed our visit.

Yes had everything we needed

Everything was great, I enjoyed my stay very much. The place was clean. I found a few spider webs in the windows, and the bed was way too soft. I enjoy a firm bed more than that, which was the only uncomfortable thing. Besides that, everything else was great.

The host was very welcoming. Sent a welcome letter furnishing all the information needed. They also responded several times immediately on texting. All the amenities were excellent as shown on the website. My wife and I are very pleased with everything wonderful experience thank you.

Place was perfect!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful. The Christmas decorations were an added bonus. Everything in the cabin was great quality, especially the hot tub (I loved the lights in it!!). The kitchen cookware, dishes, and utensils were good quality. Everything worked, and we had no issues. The view from the cabin was incredible, and you could see it all right from the hot tub. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much to the owners!

My husband and I booked this cabin for our 2nd Anniversary vacation, and we enjoyed our stay very much! It was only through the guest book that we knew there had been people who checked out the day we arrived--that's how clean it was! The views are beautiful, there are wonderful amenities, and the fact they include firewood (bring your own starters!) starting 10/1 was greatly appreciated. The place is comfortable and spacious enough for two couples or if your kids don't mind sharing a bed, but not so huge we felt like we had rented too big. In fact, having two bathrooms was a plus when we were both getting ready at the same time.The distance to grocery stores and Pigeon Forge attractions is perfect. You're close enough where getting some groceries or a Publix sandwich feels like a jaunt, but not so close where the bright lights of the main drag impact you at all. We recommend the Alcatraz East museum (but not the audio tour), and we downloaded a driving tour of the Great Smokies, which was fantastic. If you like history & spooky stuff, we did an incredible Haunt & Ghost Tour of Gatlinburg--also recommended!Others have mentioned the road to the cabin, and I will say that if you are uncomfortable driving on narrow, winding mountain roads you will find the drive challenging--and yes, the bridge is a little scary only because it is so narrow. But we had no problems in our SUV.

Our stay at this cabin was absolutely amazing! Everything was spotless from the moment we arrived — you can really tell the owners take pride in keeping it clean and comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better; it’s close to all the main attractions in Pigeon Forge, but still tucked away enough to give you that peaceful, secluded mountain vibe.We loved relaxing in the hot tub after long days exploring, and the high-speed internet made it easy to stream movies and stay connected. Fresh towels were provided during our stay, which was a really nice touch. Even with one cabin nearby, it still felt private and quiet — the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a cozy, clean, and relaxing getaway near all the action!

Great location

Great location to the strip and everything involving Jeep Invasion. Definitely booking this location again in future. The hosts were easy to communication with.

We stayed August 5-8 2025 at Bear Necessities in Pigeon Forge, Great location, cabin was clean and decorated in Smokey Mts Bear theme, beds slept good, in the woods but 10 minutes from parkway, nice hot tub, lots of room outside, would stay again

Great stay. No problems. Nicely stocked kitchen for making dinner. Hot tub and rest of property was great. It is a very steep road to access it like most in Gatlinburg but we had no trouble

Bear Necessities is a beautiful cabin. It has everything you need for a great stay. It is in a great location on the side of the mountain, but only minutes from Parkway.

Communication from the owner was clear and the check-in process was smooth and trouble-free. The view from the hot tub was nice. The home as clean and well-stocked. Location was a little ways down Wears Valley Rd and convenient to grocery store and tourist attractions. Would rent this place again. Thanks!

The home is a cute log home. I suggest you update the kitchen utensils.

The cabin was fantastic. It was well furnished and in good condition. The hot tub worked great. The place was conveniently located to dining and entertainment options in Pigeon Forge. I’m glad we got there in the daylight to navigate the one-lane bridge (with minimal guard rails) that first time. I would definitely go back to the same place.

We stayed December 23rd-26th and had an absolute amazing experience. The host was very easy to communicate with anything we needed. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed to make Christmas morning breakfast. It was private yet minutes from the island and anything you may need. We have found our new favorite cabin/hosts and will be back very very soon! Clean, cozy, all amenities worked as they should. Best rental experience we've ever had!

Weekend away with my husband for his birthday. The cabin was beautiful we had everything we needed. The drive isn't bad 2 switch backs to be careful on but that is it. We absolutely loved it.

Clean well kept property. Location was great

Cabin was homey and comfortable, great place to stay. Had a couple squirrles that kept us company and entertained by dropping acorns all hours, my fiancé loved every second of it. The only negative I can come up with is, was not expecting the bridge that we had to cross or the winding steep road to cabin. Would stay again in a heart, just would like to have been told about road and bridge.

Had a great time staying in the Bear Necessities cabin quiet up on the side of the mountain and close enough to everything in pigeon forge for a short drive to and from.
