Beautiful Log Cabin with river access to The Watagua. Newly added Fire Pit

Great porch!!

We had such a great stay at this property. My friends and I spent three nights here, and it was exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway and space for working on a quilting project. The house was spacious, clean and very well maintained. It looked just like the photos. There was plenty of room for everyone and the layout made it easy for everyone to have their own space. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials.One of the highlights was the wraparound porch. The only small downside was the view was mostly blocked by the mature landscaping.The location was close to Boone and Blowing Rock so we had some very good meals and retail therapy as well.Overall we had an amazing weekend and would absolutely stay here again.

We loved the space! We usually go on a fishing trip for Memorial Day weekend and we were worried about the rain that was coming in, but the fantastic porch made the rainy weekend feel like a perfect getaway! We had plenty of room for our family, and for very comfortable the whole time. Host was responsive when I had questions, and it felt like we were out in the middle of nowhere, but still had access to things like Instacart and food delivery! Truly beautiful spot, and we spent a ton of time on the porch!

We loved this house! It’s on a beautiful piece of property by the River. It was great for fly fishing or just sitting on the deck. We had 8 adults and found all the rooms to fit us comfortably. It had a huge dining table that was perfect for dinners and games. We also loved the wrap around porch. It was a great spot for coffee in the mornings. It made for a most enjoyable weekend!

It was a lovely place. All the amenities advertised were provided and the whole experience was wonderful.

Just a beautiful house and well stocked in the kitchen. The area is very quiet and deer were out grazing across the street every afternoon. The gas fireplace was really appreciated when the arctic front came through. My only suggestion is when it's time to switch out the toilet in the master bathroom, please install a taller toilet. It is very hard to stand back up after sitting down, especially for someone like me with severe knee problems. There is a half-bath at the entrance that has a standard sized toilet that I used. I'd definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Everything was perfect for our stay

The house was clean. Each of our teenage kids had their own room and bathroom. Location in the river is great. Lots of nearby wildlife including deer and eagles.

Beautiful location and great communication with the host.

Cabin was cozy and comfortable. Upstairs fireplace was inoperable. A low noise similar to an indicator of a malfunctioning battery or something was audible. Sounded like it was possibly coming from the upstairs fireplace.Not a real big deal because we were out and about for much of our stay, but it was annoying to the individuals of our group that spent time hanging out and sleeping upstairs there. They would have enjoyed using the fireplace.

This is a wonderful house! We celebrated a graduation with 9 family members. We were so fortunate because the weather was cool in the evenings and we got to use the fire pit, which was large enough to accommodate all of us, every night. The huge wrap around porch was the site for morning coffee, drinks, dinners and lots of conversations.I can easily imagine returning for a longer visit.

Beautiful getaway! The wrap-around porch is so inviting! We have stayed here many times and hope to continue to do so.

I just wanted to say how absolutely beautiful the place was — we had a wonderful time! It was truly the perfect vacation spot for our family. The lightning bugs in the afternoon were magical — we’d never seen anything like that. The afternoon walk watching the deer play was amazing.

The cabin was great and the owner was very friendly. We loved the river, the fire pit, and having two living areas inside to spread out. The porch is huge with plenty of seating for everyone.

Rooms well appointed and lots of areas for privacy and relaxation.
