Away from the Crowds Great Value Right on the River!

Enjoyed my visit. You feel like your way out but not far from modern conveniences. This was a great place to stay and I loved hearing and seeing the water.

The cabin is old and rustic, but it was absolutely perfect. Super cozy, private, and right next to a river. Can hear the water flowing from the bedroom.

Don't be fooled by the gravel road! It's worth it!Upon entering the cabin we were greeted with the refreshing, rustic, scent of pine planking. A real treat to experience! Located just feet from the river, the gurgling sounds make it easy to sleep (and sleep in). Beds were comfortable with a just the right amount of charm. The bathroom is small, but just fine! Kitchen was well stocked with anything you could need to meal prep and entertain. Cozy cabin! Just perfect for a weekend getaway.

A cosy cabin; quite literally on the river! Our host was easy to reach and very responsive to questions and booking requests. The directions were accurate and easy to follow. The cabin was very clean, and the beds were comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. The location was absolutely phenomenal—being so close to the river made the entire experience feel peaceful and refreshing. The screened-in porch was one of our favorite spots, especially for breakfast while listening to the soothing sound of the water. The rocking chairs were such a nice touch and made it even easier to sit back and truly relax.There were just a couple of small hiccups—the lockbox was a bit tricky to open at first, and the stovetop didn’t work properly, which made cooking dinner a little challenging. However, we were able to work around it and still enjoyed our meals outside with the calming river in the background.Overall, it was a lovely stay, and we really appreciated the atmosphere and charm of the cabin.

Amazing stay — truly a gem!We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! The photos don’t even come close to capturing how beautiful, cozy, and inviting it truly is. It was perfect and incredibly comfortable for our family of four.The fireplace made the space extra special, and enjoying bonfires and s’mores was such a highlight (just remember to bring firewood). The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are super comfortable, and having BBQ meals on the deck while listening to the river was unforgettable.Waking up to the sound of the river every morning felt like a gift. The cabin was spotless inside and out, and the host was exceptional — responsive, helpful, and available before, during, and after our stay.We highly recommend this property without hesitation. A truly luxurious and memorable experience — we can’t wait to come back!

Perfect place for a relaxing getaway. Cabin was cozy and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Cabin was beautiful, clean , beds were comfy. We had a fire in the fire place which made it even better. Caught a few trout , played some board games that were provided at the cabin and went on a walk. Great time thanks again we will be back.

Super cozy cabin with screened porch for enjoying the sound of running water from the creek. Beds were comfy and kitchen had all the basics. May want to bring some foil and other spices if you plan on cooking. Beautiful location close enough to town but far enough from the Apple festival crowds.

The pictures don't do it justice. The screened porch right on the riverbank is a dream. You can hear the gentle sounds of the river through the bedroom windows. The total darkness after lights out is such a treat compared to the light pollution of the city. The location is close enough to go into town for a meal but far enough away to feel like another world.

Great stay. Excellent communication with the host. Very clean and very quiet. Exactly what we were looking for. I would absolutely stay here again.

This cabin was Perfect for a family of four.•I would suggest downloading Jane’s instructions beforehand as cell service might be limited (zero with AT&T).•Once we connected to the house WIFI, lack a reception was a non-issue with WIFI calling. The service was able to handle 4 streaming devices at once with no lag.The highlight of the cabin was the river. We spent most of our time wading in the river. The host, Jane, is readily available and responsive, typically answering questions within 20-30 minutes. We took advantage of Amicalola Falls State Park, Downtown Blue Ridge, Downtown Ellijay.

Great secluded location. Needs a little updating with bath towels and main bedroom pillows. Sounds of the river was very relaxing.

The river is absolutely peaceful with natural surroundings. The cabin is perfect with the sound of the river able to be heard within the cabin. We have stayed here many times and hope to return.

This is an excellent fishing cabin. The cabin furnishings are a little outdated and the cabin has a slight musty smell. If you like to watch TV in bed at night, then this cabin may not be for you. The back porch overlooking the river is relaxing. Excellent location, excellent fishing. Lacking comfort. Also, the cabin is full of warnings of “what not to do” and threats of losing the deposit that sets a “tone” that does not convey hospitality. I feel there are ways to provide that information to your guests and still remain hospitable. We love the Cartecay River but we probably would not choose this property again due to the lack of comfortable furnishings and the tone set by the owner with the warnings,

The cabin was just what we needed to relax away from city noise and just listen to the river and birds. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a worry free weekend. I had to book it again soon.

Stayed for 2 nights with my sister. Spent hours sitting by the river. Nice screened in porch. Everything you need for a comfy visit. Close to hiking. Quiet and peaceful. Not fancy but who cares. River sounds are so lovely. Owner kind and responsive.

Very nice cabin truly a hide away.

The overall stay was good. We had some trouble getting the tv to come on and property owner didn’t relply back when we called. The power was lost the last day so before that happened the stay was good I’d still recommend the property

We had a great time. Right on the water, the river sounded amazing at night. It was cold but the fireplace made it cozy.

We had a great weekend getaway at the cabin. It was perfect for us. We enjoyed a fire in the fireplace and the sound of the river was so relaxing. We can't wait until our next trip to the area.

Loved being by the river and enjoyed the get away. It's a nice place if you are looking to get away from it all and relax.

Very clean, Due to health issues my husband needs a chair rather than sofa, the one shown in photos was not usable. Fire pit had not been cleaned off, would have taken a while of cleaning to be able to use it, even though they knew we were coming. Access to the river was not as clear as shown in photos so couldn't fish. Called the renter a few times before we received a call back. All these issues and fee was non-refundable. After discussing and advising we were having to move to a different location for the rest of our trip and no offer was made for even a portion of the fee. Would not rent again.

We love our stay, the cabin very clean and nice also soft bedding. We love the river too and enjoyed fishing on the river.

The cabin is as pictured. Right on the river- beautiful sights and sounds from the screened porch. The inside is clean and comfortable. Well equipped. Quiet relaxing location. We loved the area and the cabin itself. Would highly recommend.

The location is direct on the river, really nice sound and view. Would like to have better sitting chairs on back porch or could be a swing or reclining loungers :) the cabin is very comfortable and slept good.Thanks💕

Beautiful and scenic surroundings.

We truly enjoyed our time just relaxing on the back porch watching the river go by. We truly enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Not rating this specific property as there were issues with it last minute and Jane was kind enough to offer another property close by. Jane was great to work with and very attentive. We had a great time!
