Authentic Private Log Cabin! Hot Tub, Views, Internet, Fireplace, Air Condition

The cabin is as described, not huge but perfect size for our party of 6, I will say that you can hear everything downstairs and vice versa. The views are okay, but the cabin is in between Boone and easy access to the ski resorts, grandfather mountain and snow tubing. The host is very responsive as well and accommodating.

Beware – Significant Safety Concerns and Material MisrepresentationThis review reflects our firsthand experience and is intended to inform future guests. Upon arrival, the property presented serious safety and maintenance issues that were not disclosed in the listing. The entire exterior lacked functioning lighting, including stair access, due to broken or non-operational fixtures. This made the entry unsafe after dark and resulted in a fall and injury. The absence of exterior lighting and basic safety measures reflects a failure to maintain reasonably safe premises. Interior conditions also fell below acceptable hospitality standards. Dirty dishes were left in the dishwasher, with no detergent provided. Floors were unswept and slippery. Linens and furnishings showed excessive wear, including improperly fitted pillowcases, worn sofa cushions without support, and thin, frayed blankets. Multiple interior lights were missing or had burned-out bulbs, leaving rooms inadequately lit. While the listing stated that only minimal essentials would be provided, the quantities available were insufficient for normal use and required immediate off-property replacement.Basic guest provisions were inadequate for the length of stay. Safety essentials were also lacking: no accessible first-aid supplies were found. Overall, the property materially differed from its advertised condition and requires significant maintenance to meet reasonable expectations for safety and comfort.

This was our third year staying at this cabin over the Thanksgiving holiday. The cabin is wonderful and super clean. We really enjoyed the hut tub and wood burning fire place. It's secluded but close to many local attractions. Communication with the host was excellent. Probably be back next year.

Very cozy place. Secluded and quiet. Very clean. A lot to do in surrounding areas; Boone is a lovely small town. Good selection of place to eat.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cabin with my husband and two daughters. The cabin was delightful—well-appointed, cozy, and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, peaceful views, and quiet privacy surrounded by nature. The location was perfect—tucked away but still close to Boone, Blowing Rock, and the heart of Valle Crucis. A perfect mountain getaway for our family!

We spent enjoyable 10 days in this cabin.Good Things: Located really close to Boone and all three mountains in the area. The road is private, so almost no traffic at all. Nearby B&B further up the hill also takes care of salt if it freezes over.The property just had some re-carpeting and maintenance done so everything was clean and fresh.Fireplace is real wood, not gas. So rules must be followed, but it definitely adds to the charm. Washer/Dryer are new and cool.Hottub is well-maintained and adds an extra perk, especially on a cold winter night. BBQ gas tank was filled up and ready for use.The nuance:Kitchen equipment (fridge, microwave, dishwasher) and hottub are bit dated but all as shown on pictures, maintained clean, and work fine. TV screens are of a smaller size, however this works great if you are mostly talking and playing board games. Wooden floors on the main floor are extra squeaky, lol, nobody can sneak from the bedroom to the kitchen unnoticed.There are two garbage bins outdoors at the basement, but if you are a family of 5 and staying for over a week you will very likely run out of space in them, as well as out of 5 plastic trash bags provided. Check with the host on this in advance or buy more at Publix/Lowes.Overall it was a pleasant stay. The host was very communicative and helpful. We enjoyed our time. Also a huge wraparound porch is a special perk if you are staying during the warmer months. Everything has to be cosier and inside in winter :)

This home is very nice but we felt it was in need of a “deep” cleaning to rid of dust and mold. The shower/tub didn’t drain so we had to stand in water. The stool was broke so we had to flush by reaching into the water tank. The driveway is a big challenge and unusable if you are on a motorcycle. In a car you can’t pull in without using the neighbors property. Not good. The deck was GREAT so every evening we enjoyed being outside listening to the sounds of summer.
