As of September 2025 Chimney Rock State park is open as well as many shops and resturants in down town Chimney Rock. Stayed Feb 25, 2026My group of 6 adults had an amazing stay at this cabin. The layout is ideal, with open common areas, large kitchen, and spaceous bedrooms. The two porches facing the water are ideal for relaxing and the rooftop deck above the boathouse is great to enjoy the breeze and amazing views of the lake. We loved the firepit too and there were plenty of chairs for us all to always comfotably relax where we were at on the property. The cabin in a short drive from the Ingles grocery store and many great restaurant options too. Easy check-in/check-out process and good communications from the owner. We loved the cabin and will hopefully stay here again in the future. We couldn't be happier with our stay!

Stayed Sep 12, 2025We were very happy with this house- fantastic view and tons of room for 6 retired ladies on their annual ladies trip. We met the host Gwen who gave us some great recommendations and also quickly fixed a minor issue. We enjoyed the restaurants in Lake Lure. GreyHawk and Lured had great outdoor spaces and food. All of us agreed (no small feat for six 60 ladies) that we will return to Lake Lure next year and to this house!

Stayed Sep 7, 2024We had a wonderful time. The house was all that we had hoped it would be. There was plenty of room for everyone. The furnishings were nice. The home was clean and well stocked. There is plenty to do in the area as well as just sitting on the deck and enjoying the view.

Stayed Jul 20, 2024Gwen's lakefront cabin was perfect for our annual family vacation. Our family has grown to the point of needing 6 bedrooms and this number of rooms is a hard find. The cabin was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and the views of the lake were amazing.
