Stayed Jul 15, 2024Normally I expect this would be a great cabin - especially in winter. It has big windows that let in a lot of light and a loft, lots of heaters and a fireplace. However we arrived during one of the hottest weeks on record and there as no air conditioning unit in the back bedroom. Normally you would be able to cool a place in the woods in northern Washington at night. But no, not with those conditions. The management team was not even aware of my issues until after I had to tell them again during “office hours”. They sent someone in the afternoon but it was too late to cool the entire place. Further the neighbors are building and chose to start work each day at 7am. Not ok. We were a Mom and her 2 girls and I didn’t feel ok talking with them. They did not acknowledge our presence so I didn’t feel safe confronting them. The management company is a 5-10 minute drive so they were unaware. All that aside for our lousy stay, the cabin is nice, very well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. We really liked having 2 full baths and a deck in the front and. Back. The property is in a wooden area away from the highway so it is very peaceful at night. The highlight was the bread at the Mazama store! What a blessing. Alla being so close to North Caacades National Park meant we could do hikes there in the morning, come back for lunch and go check out more lakes and rivers in the afternoon.
