This house was cozy and comfortable. Everything was clean and welcoming. I will take this lovely gem over the newer, bigger places any day! Thank you!
We planned a short trip to take the kids skiing. Great place and very close to the hill.
Although the property listed is North Lawrence, we actually stayed at Nordic place - Same property ID number that is shown. Not sure why it is showing North Lawrence. Nordic Place was clean and comfortable. A washer and dryer would have been nice, but we got along fine without one. The property managers were very helpful when inquiries were made. The accuracy of the online listing for Nordic Place was spot on. Was a great family vacation in the beautiful Black Hills! Thank you!
Very nice property; clean, cozy, and peaceful. Well equipped kitchen. Highly recommended.
We had a great time at the cabin. We spent the Thanksgiving holiday weekend enjoying the Black Hills! The location of the cabin was great, right in the Terry Peak area. The cabin was cozy and beautifully decorated. We spent our weekend playing games, watching movies and walking around the beautiful area. The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to cook meals there! The bedding and towels were luxuriously soft and fluffy! The basement was set up really fun for kids to sleep in! Only down side was no washer and dryer or dishwasher but other than that, we loved everything about it!
My sister and I stayed here for 11 nights, and had such a wonderful time! It was our first time visiting the area, but we'll definitely be back. There's just so much to love about this house: -Newly remodeled/furnished. -Every detail has been thought of: whenever I needed a hook, a light switch, a lamp, a shelf, a heater, it was there! The hosts have really maximized for livability, comfort and convenience. -The furnishings/decor are a wonderful mix of modern/Scandinavian/eclectic farmhouse; if you like interior design, you’ll really appreciate this house. -Stable, high-speed Wi-Fi. I worked and did video conference calls with no issues. -The bedding and towels are absolutely dreamy—so fluffy, indulgent and new! Even special washcloths for removing makeup—bravo! -Nice quality (and nice smelling!) travel-size toiletries. -The kitchen is well-stocked with pots/pans, containers, mixing bowls, cookie sheets, a variety of cooking utensils and other supplies like olive oil, basic spices, tin foil, bags, etc. (we did a lot of cooking/baking/grilling). There’s not a blender/mixer, but we did just fine with hand-mixing. -The owners left a nice bottle of wine and handwritten note for our arrival, which was a nice touch. -The location is up a steep hill outside of Lead, by the ski resort. It’s gorgeous, and the neighborhood is quiet. We saw deer and wild turkeys in the yard a couple times, and really enjoyed sitting on the deck for coffee in the morning and BBQ/wine at night. The firepit is very cozy too. We had a couple snags, but they’re very minor and wouldn’t deter us from staying again: • The check-in and house instructions probably need to be updated (e.g., keys were not located where the instructions said; the welcome booklet references washer/dryer when there isn’t any, etc.). • It wasn’t super clear from the listing/pictures that both bathrooms are on the upper floor, and one of them is a “Jack and Jill” bathroom with pocket doors between the two upstairs bedrooms. It worked fine for us, but just something to be aware of, depending on the size and composition of the group. Overall, we were very happy with our stay! It’s clear that the owners/property manager have put a lot of thought and effort into creating such a fabulously comfortable place! Would highly recommend it!
