Stayed Nov 19, 2025The manager met us and gave us a tour. All is as advertised. The cabin is well done and comfortable. My wife and I were down for three days of fishing at Winyah Bay and Bulls Bay. The house is less than 3 miles from the South Island Ferry boat ramp for Winyah Bay and about 30 minutes from the Buck Hall ramp for Bulls Bay. The property is large and has plenty of room for my 20' bay boat. The shed roof cover on the side has great lighting and is very nice for keeping the boat and gear out of the weather. There is a receptacle for power and two hose bibs for washing down gear. Overall this is a great place for a visit to fish the area. I even caught a 3 pound bass in the pond while waiting for the coffee to brew.

Stayed Oct 23, 2025We absolutely love this property! This is our second stay and we'll be back. Clean. Great location. Quiet. Well equipped. We can't say enough. Our only wish is that we could do 2 night stays. This isn't a deal breaker, but perhaps it keeps out the rifraff. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to come back!

Stayed Sep 28, 2025Great cabin with all the stuff you would need for a great stay. The huge screened in porch with the big screen tv and the fire pit on the lake was an extra special treat. Thank you Chuck and Deb for a wonderful stay. We’ll see you soon!

Stayed Sep 18, 2025Really nice cabin and set up for bringing a boat. Close to 2 boat ramps and town you need not to travel more than about 8 miles to see and do everything Georgetown has to offer. Very quiet and peaceful area .

Stayed Jul 10, 2025This was one of the best VRBO stays we've ever had. It was perfect for fishing (just a few miles to a great ramp). There is plenty of room to park a boat or two. This is an ideal spot for a romantic weekend away or two couples. The pictures are deceiving as it's much larger than expected. There is two living room spaces and lots of table seating. There is also an outdoor living space AND both upstairs and downstairs porches. It is tastefully decorated with ample kitchen utensils. It was historic, rustic, peaceful.... I'm in love! Eclectic decor (I would have decorated it the exact same way). The A/C was robust (thank heavens) as it was outside. Speaking of outside there is a pond with fish and an outdoor fire pit. Brandi, I'll call her the community dog came over for a visit. What a sweet girl. Free dog with booking (just joking, but she was THAT sweet - that you'd almost want to).The cottage is close to town, but far enough out to offer peace n quiet. It was a nice drive - not too long - but just far enough to get that relaxing atmosphere we were hoping for. (We had stayed in town before and had to worry about neighbours and where to park the boat). If mosquitoes are not your thing bring bug spray. They are manageable - suck it up buttercup (it's 100% worth it for the views and the peace)! Paul the property manager is 2 thumbs up! He was available for any questions (we had none, but still). This place is heaven on earth.

Stayed Jun 20, 2024We loved staying at Deb and Chuck’s cabin. It was adorable and exactly as described. The area was so peaceful and quiet. It was close to Georgetown and everything we needed to do. Deb and Chuck were wonderful to communicate with and were extremely helpful if I had any questions. We will definitely stay there again when in Georgetown.

Stayed Jun 12, 2024Chuck met us when we checked in. It was obvious that Chuck had put a lot of work in the cabin. The wood work was impressive, the bathrooms were modern and the setting was peaceful. It’s the perfect place for boaters on Winyah Bay, the intercoastal waterway or North and South Santee Inlets. Great porches to relax on after a day on the water.
