Boone, North Carolina
This "tiny house" is perched on a hillside in a quiet neighborhood. This cabin is perfect for the couple looking to get away. You'll feel like you are well off the beaten path. Yet conveniently located to hiking trails, fine dinning and wonderful shopping locations. Truly the quintessential romantic escape. It’s an excellent place for those who want to be away from town, but the location is centrally located to Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain and Sugar Mountain.

Loved the location!
We come to the mountains often and this has been our favorite! Just the 2 of us and it was perfect. Very close to downtown Blowing Rock and the Parkway. Make a reservation at The Game Keeper up the street. This place is very quiet and is off the beaten path. Very clean and the owners are on point! Quick responses to any questions and checked in on us. We will most definitely be back!
Good location for hiking and getting places. Cabin had all we needed!
Property is as advertised. Well stocked kitchen and bath. Super comfortable bed. Enjoyed sitting on the multiple decks. Deer walked bye while we enjoyed the firepit (supply your own firewood). Owner contact was super quick. As with many mountain properties, there steps up to the cabin from the driveway. Clean and well decorated. Was a relaxing stay. Super close to the Game Keeper Inn if you are looking for a nice dinner out.
This location was convenient to Blowing Rock and Boone. The covered side porch was wonderful to have coffee on in the morning. Private and still 8-13 minutes from where we wanted to go. Rustic charm.
We really enjoyed our trip here great place to stay. Really cool to watch the deer literally 5 feet of the porch.
Owl's Nest is a cute, well-appointed tiny home that offers a nice, quiet mountain getaway for couples. There was a welcome gift of a bottle of wine upon our arrival, which I thought was a very nice touch. Everything was clean and in good working condition. Nice, fluffy, spa quality towels and linens. I especially appreciated the convenience of the onsite washer/dryer. There are several homes close by, but the neighborhood was very quiet, so it felt peaceful and secluded. There was a freak lightning strike our first night at the cabin which knocked out the wifi service to the neighborhood and blew out the wifi router. We contacted Cameron and he was very responsive and helpful in replacing the router and coordinating with the service provider to get the wifi up and working as quickly as possible. I got the sense that he would be very helpful and accommodating in any situation that might arise. The property also has three decks that would be wonderful to enjoy in nice weather and expands the living space. Unfortunately, it was very cold and windy when we were there, so we weren't able to use them. One of them has a nice fire pit which doesn't show on the pictures. I should note that if you are an elderly guest or have any physical limitations, you might have some difficulty climbing the hill to the property as it's quite steep and can be slippery if it's rainy. I would also suggest that wherever you stay in the area, inquire about cell phone coverage beforehand if that's important to you, to avoid any unpleasant surprises. Thank you, Cameron and Angie, for sharing your little mountain home with us. :-)
When we arrived there were deer grazing on the hill, and when we turned off the porch lights the first night we were awestruck by the stars. It was a quiet, beautiful escape with easy access to many activities.
