Other Things to Note:

What to bring with you!- You're coming to a wilderness area to vacation and if you plan your vacation well you will have a positive experience. In the summertime May and through the middle of June can tend to be cooler early morning and toward the evening hours. Make sure to bring a jacket and long pants you can change into when needed. Bring a pair of tie up shoes to protect your feet. Shoes likes flip flops or sandals will not protect your feet when you are out exploring. Layering your clothing is a good idea and then if your too warm you can take off clothing as needed. At least this way when departing your cabin early morning to go site seeing you will have what you need with you. July and August are pretty warm and you should still bring a light jacket. The rest of the year you will want to bring heavier jackets and long underwear, snow suits etc. You will need to bring your private toiletries like bar soap and shampoo as we do not provide this for you. Cabins are equipped with everything else you should need except food of course. Snow tires and four-wheel-drive are recommended for traveling in Eastern Idaho during the winter. Road conditions can change quickly, and even well-traveled highways are occasionally closed by blizzards or high winds. Before setting out, check the Transportation Department's website or call 511 for an automated, up-to-the-minute status of all thoroughfares. Wise motorists will also carry emergency gear (shovel, snack bars, water, blankets) in their vehicles to be ready for any contingency. Coming Snowmobiling A reminder to anyone traveling back country areas whether skiing, snowmobiling or hiking: Remember the time of year, exercising all back country cautions. Take necessary equipment and survival gear when venturing into the back country. If you have a GPS and cell phone, be sure to take them with you, but do not rely on them entirely for a safe rescue if you find yourself in trouble or stranded. Cell phones should be kept close to your body & turned off to keep the battery full, so it's not searching for a signal & running the battery down. Avalanche Transceivers and equipment, knowing what the avalanche conditions are, and knowing skills to save lives are a must for everyone entering back country riding or traveling. Plan ahead. Make sure you know the area you are going into before heading into it. If you find yourself in trouble, stop, take a look around you, and do not go any further. The further you go the more complicated and dangerous it is to get yourself to safety, also making rescue efforts more difficult and dangerous. Make mental notes in relation to any physical features or landmarks that would assist in your rescue. Make a plan, stick to your plan, narrow the riding area, & most of all...let someone know WHERE you are planning to go!

Team of 10 adults stayed for a week at this house. It is a very nice, quite log cabin or hunting cabin feel house around 30 minutes away from West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. House has a creek running behind the property, a very good feature for families with kids. Has a deck that wraps around to the front with views of mountains. Very quite, clean and functional. We had a lot of fun and we were very comfortable.

Perfect cabin for our family of 11 going to Yellowstone. Close neighbors but doesn’t feel like it with trees and wooded area between. Small running creek behind was beautiful and got to see many animals utilize it including a moose cow. We had nightly fires making smores. Having washer & dryer on site was great too. It allowed us to pack smaller amounts of clothes because we could wash nightly. The big kitchen was great too because we cook nightly. Our kids come come different states so they want momma’s cooking lol. Overall we had a great time and was perfect for our family vacation. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

There is a beautiful creek right behind the cabin. The property was beautiful inside and out. The kitchen was well-stocked with supplies. It had plenty of room for us to stay there with extended family. My 10 year old said he wanted to live there forever. Would definitely stay there again.

We were a large group, three couples with 4 children. We had plenty of room. There are 3 full bathrooms in the house so each couple/family had their own bathroom. Lots of seating and the deck was awesome. The negative- the mosquitoes were bad on the deck and citronella candles didn't seem to slow them down much. It's a long ways to Yellowstone but Island Park is a beautiful area.

Overall all our guests were above impressed with this home and it’s location! We very comfortably fit 11 people and we’re already thinking about booking another stay just to hang out for an entire week! We booked this home for our visit to Yellowstone which is a bit far (45 min plus traffic) but was worth the drive to stay here! Our favorite things were the creek in the backyard, the cozy rustic feel of the cabin, the backyard patio, available laundry and open layout downstairs! Only minor drawbacks were laundry was a little tricky to figure out and distance to any restaurants/grocery were 45 min away but both were manageable with proper planning and patience! We would all recommend staying here to anyone interested in a break for the every day grind and relaxing in nature!

The cabin was perfect for us. The river outside was so relaxing. The drive way was perfect for our littles to ride their bikes. Close to our favorite fishing holes. Can't wait for next year

My first time on Vrbo, it was easy and convenient. The photos that preview this property were accurate. All of our beds were comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms were well-supplied, including dishwasher, washer & dryer, Wi-Fi, cable, etc. Beautiful view!
