Roma, Lazio
My unique, beautiful and cozy apartment is located in Trastevere, in the heart of Rome historical Center a few steps from Vatican St. Peter. The main view is on the Tiber River, while the side view is the Roman roofs and Gianicolo. The communal terrace above with unforgettable panorama to 360° over the surrounding area.

The living room is characterized by a typical and original vaulted ceiling of 1800 with exposed bricks, hardwood floors, two sofa, bookcase and paintings by local artists.

The apartment is sanitized and cleaned up in detail at each guest change.
The loft is located in one of the most strategic places to visit Rome in the Trastevere district, precisely in Via Lungara. Fortunately it is not the most populated area of the district which is located on 200 meters, where there are restaurants and trendy bars for every need.
Continuing by via della Lungara to Porta Santo Spirito in 10-minute walk to the Vatican with access to St. Peter's Square. 50 meters from home is Villa Farnesina (considered one of the noblest and most harmonious creations of Italian Renaissance, with Raffaello frescoes), Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei (the oldest academy worldwide), Corsini Gallery (with a very important five-seventeenth-century art collection), Botanical Garden (12 hectares of park in the historic center) with the Gianicolo hill (great place to visit to get away from the bustle of Rome, not to mention that the panorama from the top of the hill is breath-taking). Just in front of our apartment there is Ponte Mazzini, through which is located Via Giulia, then walk for 10 minutes Piazza Navona and all the tourist attractions of the historical center.
Arrive to the apartment is very simple. From Leonardo da Vinci airports you can take a taxi at a fixed price of € 48,00 up to 4 people and their luggage, otherwise the train to Termini station and then take the bus H, 40 or 64 to Trastevere.
I can arrange your private transportation to and from train stations or airports.
I am available to welcome guests every day from 6:00 to 20:00, and I have always tried to take care of the house myself, but I have another job and a family and out of those hours, if I can not, there will be my friend or agency who will give you the keys and will show you the house with an additional cost of € 20,00 until 21:00 and € 40,00 from 21:00 to 07:00. Sunday and festivities € 30,00 until 21:00 and € 50,00 from 21:00 to 07:00.
My guests for any information or problems can contact me 24/7. On request will be provided tourist guides, bike rental, scooter or car, cook at home, and to suggest you the best restaurants in Rome and the best daytime entertainment and nightclubs in the capital. Maps guides, discounts, and a personal list of activities and places that I love to frequent nearby is available to houseguests, which you will not find in tourist guides.

We had a great stay in Rome. The appartment is nice , well placed and well equipped. Very close to the Vatican and many places to see. To eat and drink, there are a lot of restaurants and bar close to the appartment.
We stayed in this VRBO x 4 days/nights and it was in a great location close to Trastevere and about 20 minutes walking distance from the Vatican, Castel Sant'Angelo, Piazza Navona and many other attractions. The apartment was in an old building with lots of character. It was on the 5th floor (81 stairs up, no elevator). We had good communication with Chiara through the VRBO site and we were able to drop our luggage off and check in earlier than expected, which was very much appreciated. She also arranged an airport shuttle for us on the last morning at our request, which was very helpful since our Italian isn't the best and that makes communication challenging at times. As for the apartment, the kitchen was well appointed, there was an AC unit, washing machine (we dried our clothes on the clothesline on the rooftop terrace with clothespins provided), and the bed in the loft was very comfortable. There are several grocery stores (Tigre, Conad) within walking distance. We enjoyed opening up the living room doors in the morning and listening to the city and had a nice view of the Tiber River. We took a walk every night into the heart of Trastevere to enjoy people watching and the night life. We also used the rooftop terrace most nights to enjoy some wine and the view of Rome. We felt safe at all times. We would definitely stay here again when we are back in Roma! Molto Grazie!
I had a wonderful stay at this flat! The location is absolutely fantastic, making it so convenient to explore the city. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which added a personal touch to my experience. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during my visit. Highly recommended!
Thank you Chiara for an amazing stay. It was in walking distance to all of Roma. The apartment has a personality. It is in an incredible area with plenty of places to eat and close to the market. Would highly recommend this to anyone.
The apartment is located in the eclectic Trasteverre region where Romans choosing to eat are in abundance. Roman cuisine is unique and at it’s best in this area. Chiara was most helpful and made us feel very much at home. If stairs are a problem then maybe this apartment is not for you. However, my wife is 70, I am 79 and we managed the daily exercise well. The view of the Tiber is beautiful and the rooftop vista is stunning. We had a lovely time and thoroughly recommend this place as a base for visiting Rome.
Great location, clean, had everything we needed. Only issue was the drains. They were slow and got clogged. But we realize this is an old property and it happens. Also noise from outside on weekends. But this goes along with the great location.
Chiara was a wonderful host who was very accommodating and friendly. Her apartment is beautiful overlooking the Tiber river. Located in Trastevere near the hip neighborhood night life. Easy walking distance to the Vatican (10 min) and the coliseum (35 min). Highly recommend!
What a find! This apartment was perfect for my husband and my trip to Rome. Right outside of the archway into the commercial heart of Trastevere, it was easy to walk to restaurants, but the nightlife was out of earshot. It was also right across the Tiber from a lovely neighborhood with cafes, restaurants, wine bars, etc., which were mainly frequented by locals rather than tourists. The apt was in walking distance from all the major sites, from the Vatican to the Ancient Roman ruins, and there are major bus lines running from the main road right near by. My only caution would be that the steps up to the loft might not be safe for someone with a significant mobility impairment or someone who might become significantly intoxicated on a night out. That said, the loft is comfortable and spacious! Finally, Chiara, the host is attentive and thoughtful; we were even able to drop off our bags and use the bathroom when we got on the plane, before the apt was ready for us to move into. In all, this apt is a gem!!!
Once you stop complaining about the stairs which are actually good for you it is a perfect location. Just far enough out of the main Trastevere noise but close enough to partake. Apartment has everything you need and is very clean and quite nicely done. Bar(caffe) on the corner is great and simple osteria right below is an easy meal and good. Rome is a walking city and while this apartment will get you everywhere with a good map or smart phone it’s a great choice to get away from the “busy”.
My husband and I stayed at this property for 1 week. This property is very cool and exactly as seen in the photos. It is in an excellent location if you want to see all the sights in Rome on foot. We loved it! The property was very clean, and Chiara our host was extremely reliable and responsive. Highly recommend it!
The property was very nice , clean and well kept. The 78 stairs to the 4th floor was difficult for us being in our late 60’s there was no elevator. It is a very vibrant district in Rome but one that is not the cleanest . It is centrally located and easy to get to many sites by walking.
Go out the door, take a right and walk straight down for everything Trastevere has to offer!
Very imaginatively revisioned apartment. Sleeping area is a loft, and bathroom is a little small, but kitchen is adequately equipped for making meals. The host (Chiara) was very kind, helpful with information re: sites in Rome, and took us up a spiral stair to enjoy roof top views! The apartment was presented very clean, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other travelers. Be aware that it is a 3rd floor unit. Overall impression very favorable
The Apartment is very well located. The big city centre and many highlights of rome are in walking distance. Chiara is a very nice host who is very fast in responding and helping out if there are questions. It is very nice that late check in is possible but i wished it would had been have stated in the description that some extra money has to be paid. The apartment is very good equiped if you want to cook or have a breakfast at home. After all i can really recommend the apartment for sightseeing in rome.
Chiara is a perfect and very nice host, helping you with all questions and Tipps. The flat is perfectly placed and nice looking with a view on Tiber, walking distance to all famous attractions and on top in an area with plenty of very nice affordable restaurants from simple to gourmet. We can highly recommend this nice place!!
