This is the perfect spot to view BOTH of the eclipses! We are fortunate to be involved in both of these rare events. People do not realize how rare it is to have BOTH eclipses crossing right over us here in the Texas hill country! This property is so close to the center line of viewing for both events that we are considered a PRIME LOCATION.
The “Ring of Fire” Annular Eclipse happening on October 14th will be the last one in the US until 2039.
Although there is some kind of solar eclipse every 6 months, RARELY DO THE PATHS OF TWO CENTRAL ECLIPSES OVERLAP.
Exactly 177 days after the annular solar eclipse on October 24th, a TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE will cross this property as well On April 8, 2024. There will not be another total solar eclipse visible in the US until 2044.

2 teens, mom and Gramma visit for a week. Great customer service at check in, couldn't be beat! Cabin was clean and nice, cute style. Short Walk to river albeit shallow a 5-15 minute walk/float in either direction will get you really nice spots, one being a rock jump which the teens loved. Cabin was well stocked for at home meals, and the location was mid point between Concan and Leakey, short 2-3 miles from Garner. Strongly recommend to others and if return will book again!
The check-in process and the staff were great. Although the vrbo confirmation did not include the cabin number so we had to call to find out which cabin we had rented (the property owner has multiple types of cabins). The cabin location is secluded and quiet. The cabin itself is at the low end of comfort (the couch is something out of a medieval torture chamber). There is a lack of power receptacles. The showerhead in Cabin #1 is dangerously low (at eye level for me) and it is rectangular shaped with pointed corners. Weird. The pathway to the river is very narrow, but walkable. There is a picnic table at the river's edge. Cellphone coverage in the valley is very spotty but the WIFI in the cabin worked very well. All in all, a pricey, low end cabin in a beautiful river valley.
Secluded and quiet but had all the amenities you would need for a nice, comfortable stay near the river. You also have access to a deeper part of the river with a sister property that is managed by the same property owners. Its also a 5 minute drive to Garner State Park. Very nice stay.
Not worth the hassle for the price and experience.
The cabins are very clean and stock with all necessities. Very spacious and super friendly and accommodating staff. Five minutes to groceries and fuel. Very highly recommended.
Veronica went beyond to make sure we are comfortable and safe. The property is really good, amazing and clean. My family and I really enjoyed. Thanks to all who made sure we had a happy and pleasant stay. Keep up the great work
Staff was so nice. We had the wrong directions and ended up getting there an hour late and they agreed to wait for us after closing time. Very friendly and clean. Close to the FrÃo River and Garner State Park. Amazing Experience Overall. Definitely recommend!!
Such a treat to be away from the city and traffic noise! Fun wading in the river, but never made it to the swimming hole. Close enough to Lost Maples for a convenient outing and another to Garner S.P., just down the road. Watching a woodpecker raid the hummingbird feeder was a plus.
So clean and very cute house, easy river access and nice rock beach!
