I am not one to write reviews, but I don't want the next occupants vacation to be as big of a disappointment as ours was. This is not a cabin (it's a manufactured home) and it isn't cozy. The water was yellow, there was a weird smell inside and the rugs and towels were old and didn't look clean. Also, the neighborhood is full of houses with all sorts of cars and junk everywhere and the house isn't on a river. We ended up leaving and finding a new place 3 hours after checking in to this one. The owner seems nice but refused to refund my money even though we never stayed there and I told her when we left (3 hours after checking in) that we were leaving because it wasn't as described and she never responded. PLUS, NO WIFI (which I missed in the VRBO listing). This was over Christmas break and I had to scramble to find new accommodations for my family (with 3 kids) after driving all day to get here. I was beyond disappointed and the fact that she wouldn't refund me was also disappointing.
It is a manufactured home, thin walls, a bit aged with limited amenities. Mapquest was no help and direction from the management would have been more helpful. Games or a deck of card for kids and teens would have been nice and baggies for left overs to pack out. The water was very metallic tasting and smelling. We did find a water jug in the cupboard to use. WiFi was non existant and we couldnt get the CD player to work with the TV in the living room. So the teens were bored. The neighbor dogs barked and woke us up a few times and one layed in the middle of the road and blocked us from passing for some time. It was the strangest thing. All in all close to the club, clean, but not worth the cost!
The lights were not working even when there was electricity. The power was out and there’s No emergency candles or flashlights. The drainage system was not working properly especially in the main shower. There wasn’t a hairdryer. I was charged for the entire cleaning fee, pet fee, taxes, service fee and was never offered an acceptable refund. I had to leave in the very late night due to no help from the host. This is not a place where one let alone a family can go for a safe walk down such steep hills to the local hot springs pool/ clubhouse to eat. It’s very steep and unsafe to navigate. I really don’t recommend this place at all. There’s no way to wash/ dry or clean anything without power. I realize that this was a power outage on the 2 days of our stay. However I left it in very clean conditions and would expect a refund.
Comfortable shaded cabin (double-wide) tucked up on a hillside above a golf course and small resort. Located a few minutes up from the village of Crouch, ID. Good furnishings, with newer appliances in the functional kitchen, powerful AC, and cozy bedrooms. Great star-gazing nearby! Good cell coverage just a minute up the hill. It can be difficult to locate on the first try. The cabin is in a congested neighborhood on a steep hillside, and is not visible from the road. You can see houses with numbers 12 and 13, but the driveway to this house just had a small 14 on a stake out at the road.
The worst experience I have ever had at a VRBO property.
Enjoyable and comfortable. Enjoyed the peace and solitude. Great facilities nearby for food, beverages, and recreation.
This place was so nice and cozy for a few night stay over the weekend. Comfy beds, cozy ‘private’ location, quick walking access to the resort, and easy to use kitchen and appliances. Loved the fire pit to hang out by at night. Porch for morning coffee either on the furniture or we brought our hammock, hung nicely and enjoyed the peace.
The cabin was dirty and definitely not what we expected. Beautiful place though
We enjoyed our stay. A little disappointed by the number of homes in close proximity. Easy walk down the hill to the lodge. A few dogs, some unleashed, in the area but no excessive barking/noise.
We were looking for a weekend getaway, Garden Valley/ Crouch is such a beautiful place to be. We have never stayed is this area, it was close enough to the Terrace Lake Resort, which had amazing food. Even though there are neighbors, the area still has plenty of privacy. There were plenty of movies but the only downside is the cell service is spotty and there was no Wi-Fi. We would stay here again.
