What a great property! Look no further. Great hosts!

I would give 6 star rating if I could. This place it the absolute best in the area. Host is attentive and has the unit in pristine condition for the arrival of the guest. No cost spared in furnishing and equipping this unit. Fluffy towels, great shower, and amazingly comfortable bed. The hike has a finishing view that makes all the hard work walking up there well worth it. Highly recommend!!!

Lovely cabin, beautifully decorated, nice location, a true mountain setting

Our second time around – even better than the first. Great spot to recharge the City blues. A lovingly-restored cottage with all the high-end accoutrements. Cozy layout offering modern tasteful design touches eclectically mixed with authentic family antiques. Insanely strong water pressure. Beautiful tranquil vistas from the back screened porch and the front porch rockers. Ready-to-go firewood, kindling and starter for your private firepit (all S’mores ingredients provided). Our pup climbed to the top of Witt mountain with us and got fantastic views. The hosts have not only meticulously restored and furnished this cottage but they are also amazing stewards of the mountain itself with their labor and visual enhancements throughout the property.Leaving you with a great mystery we discovered 200 yards behind this beautiful cottage – hint: it is a classic relic from 1948 ….Amy and Mike (from Atlanta)

Everything you could think to ask for was provided. Beautiful property and excellent location. Close enough to everything to be convenient, yet still secluded.

What an amazing place to stay! I can't recommend it highly enough. Selina was an amazing host, offering great communication and attention to detail. The hike up to the top of the mountain is incredible, and the views are stunning. The house is so clean and nicely decorated...so comfortable. I will definitely be back!

This cabin is top-shelf in all ways. Selena goes above and beyond to make your stay a 5-star experience. The property is so well-maintained. The cabin is beautifully decorated. The welcome book is full of useful info. Selena has it stocked so you can have a little something the first morning before you go to the store. There were juices, sodas, butter, half & half, coffee, sweeteners, even s’more fixins for the fire pit and snacks to take hiking. Do not hesitate to make your reservation at this cabin. The property and the host get a “superb” rating from us.

Everything was awesome from the host to the amenities.The grounds were very lush with plants and the trees were numerous and full of fall colors. The cottage was very neat and clean and had lots of character and elegance. It was a very comfortable and relaxing place to visit!Jeff S.

This was the loveliest home away from home we’ve ever encountered while traveling. It was cozy and beautifully decorated. The kitchen has everything you could hope for. Selina & John are welcoming wonderful hosts. Our Scottish terrier Skye loved the manicured grounds and places to run. We definitely hope to return one day soon.

We absolutely loved our stay at the 1937 cabin. It's beautifully furnished and so many little extras to make for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It was quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for. We hope to return sometime.

Our host was so helpful in helping me surprise my wife on her special day by staying at this amazing cozy cabin tucked back in the mountains. The location is perfect for just relaxing and taking in the surrounding sounds and views of nature on the back porch drinking our morning coffee and wishing we never have to leave. We can’t wait to go back!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was even better than our expectations!! Clean, beautifully appointed, special”surprises” from our host, beautiful grounds!!! A perfect getaway. We wanted someplace that was remote, offered outdoor space, had a full equipped kitchen for cooking meals. We were so surprised by all the extra touches that Selina and John added to this property. Everything you needed to have a bonfire, including smores supplies, variety of drinks in the fridge, super comfy bed, direct TV, not to mention the amazing hike on the property. The property was immaculate, super clean, with very nice furnishings. It was truly the most perfect getaway for relaxation.

The cabin was immaculate and well appointed with top notch furnishings. Everything you need for a home away from home getaway is supplied. Property and grounds were breathtaking. I didn’t want to leave. The hike to the top of the mountain is well worth it. The view is spectacular! Had s'mores at the fire pit and grilled out each night. Rented a boat on the lake and saw all the waterfalls.We walked the 3.5 mile loop recommend in the welcome book and enjoyed it so much!! This is the best VRBO we’ve rented and we will return.Thanks for a memorable experience!!

Oh my! The cabin is perfect! It has a well equipped kitchen, fine linens and extra amenities. Very comfortable and super clean, it surpassed expectations in all respects. Beautiful mountain setting. Excellent communication with Selina. Loved my stay! Highly recommend!

Selina was a great communicator who gave great directions and awesome recommendations. The entire property is even better in person than it looks like online. The cabin is well decorated and super cozy. Unfortunately we did not get to use the fire pit, but it was adorable. Selina had even put fatwood and a lighter in a bucket next to the firewood. She had also supplied smore items and little snacks. The hike on the property is steep, but worth the view at the top! Selina's attention to detail was so appreciated, She literally thoght of everything you might need! while at their cabin. The location is also convenient between both Highlands and Cashiers. You won't regret your stay here!

Incredible location. Close enough to be convenient to everything yet remote enough to be secluded. Perfect accommodations for the two of us. Everything that we could think of was provided on site by the owners. Can’t wait to have an excuse to stay again.

This cabin was wonderful! Great hike on property to top of mountain with beautiful hidden gazebo and fire pit area, but a climb! Place was fully equipped for cooking with little extra snacks and staples to welcome you. Great firepit out back and close to many waterfalls, hikes and of course Highlands. A gem of a place!

This place is absolutely spectacular. The pictures don’t do it any justice. Super clean inside and out. It’s the perfect place to stay for a getaway. If I could rate it higher I would. The host was super helpful and very easy to communicate with. We will definitely be making this our regular place to stay.

This is one of those places I would selfishly like to keep secret but that would be unfair. This is a lovely little cottage. The hosts are very welcoming. Feels wonderful from the second you walk in the door. Selina does an excellent job of sharing information about the surrounding area. I really wish I could have enjoyed the cute screened porch, but an early cold snap prevented that. But we were nice and snug inside.

We really needed to unplug and this was the place! The home and property are absolutely beautiful. Selina & John have definitely gone the extra mile to make their guests very comfortable. Super close proximity to the lake - and just a short drive into Cashiers. Morning coffee on the screened in porch was Heaven! We enjoyed a camp fire on our last night, and wished we had done it every night - where can you be outside for a couple hours from twilight to well past dark, where you aren't chewed up by mosquitos, or other no-see-ums? We never got bit once in over 2 hours! The hike up the mountain was a workout, but very much worth it - fantastic views and plenty of space to enjoy a toast to celebrate the accomplishment. I can imagine how breathtaking the views must be in the fall. Thank you for a refreshing week!

Stop your search, you found the perfect spot. As a host myself I can tell when someone is doing it just as a business or because it's their passion. This home is clearly a passion project. Incredible quality (front gate towels, snacks and drinks and fully stocked kitchen for cooking) this is the perfect getaway. If you stay here you won't regret it.

We booked this property to celebrate a significant birthday and could not have chosen a more perfect spot. This cabin is well appointed and thoughtfully designed. It was the best decision to book this property, from the cozy kitchen and living space to the bedroom and screened porch. The firepit was well stocked with wood. If you do the hike, it’s steep but worth it. A great way to get your exercise in! Thanks Selina for making our stay memorable.
