# 10 High Country Haven Camping and Cabins

Despite many surrounding cabins and RV sites, it's so quiet, peaceful, all I hear is the rustling wind and the birds. This is idyllic and a great value. My cabin is utterly charming, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Even good internet! Convenient to town/groceries/ restaurants. Very pleased!

This is for my family the best place we have ever stayed at. The owners are very friendly and we felt very welcomed. If ciming to Franklin NC this is where to stay

It is a cozy cabin, perfect weather, we welcomed the new year as a family, my daughter cried when she left, we are already counting the days to return, the water weather was perfect.

Everything was clean and stocked. We loved our stay and we plan to go back. A lot of reviews had issues with the water temp which we did experience as well with the sinks but with the shower there wasn’t an issue I took a long comfortable warm shower not too hot or cold. The sinks there really wasn’t a sweet spot it was either hot or cold but the sweet spot on the shower was easy to find. Many reviews mention the bed which we both agree was very firm. Definitely would recommend laying some of the fluffy blankets the cabin had down before bed for added softness. Overall those 2 things weren’t much of an issue and we had a great time.

Everything was well laid out and the people seemed nice. Our only major gripe was that the hot water didn't seem to be working in our cabin. However, since we only stayed 2 nights, this wasn't a big deal.

I really have to say that we had an amazing time for our Anniversary. The communication with the host was amazing. Everything was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. would have liked a TV in the bedroom but that's not a complain. Loved the area.The only complaint we have is that we had issues with our vehicle that we had to get it fixed before we headed back home. Besides that everything was great . I definitely recommend. We will definitely be back in Feb 2027.

My virtual host Ashlii was very nice and responsive, just make sure to check your email or the messaging portion on the VRBO app. The cabin was very neat and clean. The wifi worked and there are modern appliances and a TV. There were plenty of linens available. The shower had neverending hot water and there was a nice set of gas logs in the bedroom to warm up in the evenings. There is a gas heater in the livingroom too. There is a Kerig so bring your specialty K-cups for a taste of home. The area was not as secluded as I liked but everyone at the RV resort was very quiet so it was still as if we were alone and really not bad for the price. The location was minutes from restaurants and stores if you forgot something, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Shoneys breakfast buffet which I've not had since I was a kid. Also, Haywood Smokehouse has some fantastic brisket and ribs. If you want to find a nice, inexpensive spot to get away for a quick weekend, give this place a shot.

The cabin was larger than expected. I appreciated that dogs were allowed. Communication was excellent.We were pretty chilly as the electric fireplace and wall heater weren’t able to keep up with the cold. We were concerned about the wall heater so we didn’t leave it on when we left or were sleeping. Pillows could need an upgrade but the bed was comfy. Would love to comeBack in warmer weather.

We had a great time, great little kitchen and the gas heater was perfect for keeping us warm during the snow storm! Super accommodating hosts as well, thank you for the perfect getaway!

Affordable option as compared to other area properties. Nearby Franklin, NC is a quaint, pleasant town with a surprising number of fun things to do. Nice option!

Everything was very clean and it was the perfect cabin for a weekend getaway in nature.

The kitchen and cabin were very cozy!! The propane bbq grill was a huge plus for us as we grill at home everyday. We cooked three meals on the grill!

The cabin was just exactly what we needed. It was smaller than the pictures, but that was fine with us. We enjoyed the fresh air and the trees. The location was great just about a mile or so from town. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was fine as were the little amenities left. The water pressure of the water was great for a shower and the AC unit worked just fine.

We didn't get to stay due to illness but Ashli was very understanding and helpful. We plan on booking another trip in the spring.

It's cozy and has what you need, although looks a bit dated. Campground was very quiet although we heard some gunshots from down the mountain road. Nice birds and fireflies, easy access to Franklin. One window didn't lock, so perhaps owners can attend to that. It's listed as sleeping three, but just know that it's really only for two unless you put an air mattress where the coffee table is.

We loved this cabin and the owners are very friendly too! Clean, neat, and had everything we needed. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved this Quaint Little cabin. Perfect for our weekend getaway with our fur baby. Although there are others nearby,you wouldn’t even know because it is so peacefully quiet.10/10 recommend

Just peaceful and relaxing stay

The cabin itself was nice enough but the view was of campers and cabins for rent.It wasn't attractive. You can't park in front of the unit but across the street which wasn't convenient. But for the price it was acceptable. VRBO wasn't accurate with the mileage between my destination they said 15 miles and it was actually 30 through the mountains. Research

Great cabin quiet and the hosts were very nice and friendly.

Really good exerience. Cabin 10 was just like the pictures described it. Very clean and neat. There was a minor problem with the heat, but one txt to the host and John was right there to help. Everything else was just great. Unfortunately we had rain for days and unable to enjoy the deck. Already planning a cozy get away backthere n the fall.

The view was amazing! Quiet area! The host was easily accessible! We will definitely be back with the kiddo's!

We used the property primarily as an extra bedroom. My mother and brother and his family live nearby, so we spent most of our time during the day at their place.

It was easy to just settle in with our dog and enjoy this sweet place. It was cozy, clean, and comfy.

Cabin was adorable and perfect for a weekend getaway. Would be helpful if there were some signs to see at nighttime but everything else was perfect!

I thoroughly enjoyed a 5 day stay at High Country Haven Camping and Cabins. The cabin was very clean (Cabin 10), the bed was comfy, and the location is central to all kinds of very cool attractions and hiking trails. Would definitely stay again!

Very laid back and relaxing.

Place was very clean, quiet, and cozy. Bed was very comfortable. Rates were extremely good. Ashli, our host was excellent and was very responsive! Would stay here again for sure!

Our weekend stay was perfect. They had ample storage for your personal belongings. The shower was nice and hot with great water pressure. The other cabins/lots for camping were very quiet. Sheets were super soft and comfortable! Hope to come back!

The cabin was perfect for our stay. The inside was immaculate and the wifi/cable tv was great. We used our stay as a base for exploring the area, which was beautiful. The host was very helpful in all our questions about the area and gave suggestions, which was very helpful. would HIGHLY recommend this location. Five stars and thumbs Up!!
