Stayed May 22, 2026Where do I start?? The house was elegant--each room was tastefully done in period antiques; the wall paper, the ceilings, and the inlaid floors--Wow.Our bedroom--same, with a queen size bed and comforter, en suite bathroom with plenty of counter space and a jacuzzi for relaxing. But the food!! We arrived at 4:30, in time for a glass of wine, then dinner at 6:00 promptly served by both Tony and Sharon, one course at a time. The bread!! Can't say enough! The tomato soup--exquisite! The granita for desert (they lived in Italy for a couple of years) was perfect. The serving size was nice--enough, but not too much. The best part: our hosts: engaging, convivial, a storehouse of knowledge about the house, their background etc. We left then next morning as friends! (I almost forgot the breakfast--another triumph! Eggs, bacon, toast points--with choice of 11 different jams made by out award winning hostess, Sharon!!There's a lot I'm leaving out: the train, the game room, the elegant grounds, etc. But you get the idea. We have been travelling for the past 15 years--mostly in VRBO places. This was the finest yet! Many thanks to Tony and Sharon!!!We'll be back next year!! Keith & Debby

Stayed Apr 3, 2026We had a wonderful stay at the Dossey House Bed & Breakfast! The house was clean and full of charm. The hosts curated a delicious menu selection for us. Their attention to detail made our anniversary weekend extra special! This house is located about 20 minutes from the Mammouth Cave visitor's center and is accessible to the main road. If you've ever thought about trying a bed and breakfast experience, this is the place to book!

Stayed Oct 9, 2025Tony and Sharon are amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The breakfast were outstanding with something different each morning. I especially liked the homemade jam that they make and serve. My wife and I purchased several jars to bring home along with homemade apple sauce. The property is very well maintained and the view from the large front porch is great. We sat out there every afternoon and even played a board game with Tony and Sharon. They brought us several other homemade items to try like their pickles, salsa, etc. My wife and I felt like we were pampered. If you are staying in the area I would highly recommend staying with them, you will not be disappointed. The location is close to the national park, an easy and enjoyable 15 minute drive to the visitor center.

Stayed Oct 5, 2025Sharon met us warmly at the door and opened her home like we were family. The room was beautiful and cozy! The house was amazing! The porch slowed us down and we enjoyed our time there. Tony and Sharon have hosting down to an art form. The food was amazing and fresh. They put a lot of love into what they do. Anyone should take advantage of the meals they prepare because you aren’t going to get the quality and quantity any where else. They have a personalized touch for their meals and that made it more special. We felt like family by the time we left. I wanted to cry because we had to leave.

Stayed Oct 3, 2025Such a unique and wonderful experience - Tony and Sharon welcomed us into their beautiful home as if we were visiting family. My mother and I were so fortunate to share their company and drink wine into the evenings, learning of their lives and adventures together. The house is lovely and historic, featuring 12-foot ceilings, a massive wrap-around porch, and a scenic view of the town and nearby hills.Don’t bother finding places to eat - given Tony and Sharon’s skills for cooking, culinary preservation and creativity (jams, jellies, sauces, hors d'oeuvres), you’ll regret making any other plans! They go above and beyond to cater to our preferences, serving delicious dinners and delightful breakfasts with exquisite presentation.100% would visit again and will definitely recommend to any and all friends and family planning a visit to the Mammoth Cave region.

Stayed Jul 5, 2025My wife and I stayed here for one night as a surprise for her birthday as we visited Mammoth Cave. It was our first stay at a B&B, and it was a great experience.Tony and Sharon were incredible hosts. The home has amazing character and is very clean. There's also a fun game room with a pinball machine that Tony has had for about 40 years, very cool! Morning coffee on the front porch overlooking Brownsville and their garden was a highlight. The dinner and breakfast that Tony and Sharon made for us was a true delight. Their passion was displayed in the dishes they prepared, and everything tasted so fresh! That's not by accident; they grow a lot of the ingredients they used, and Sharon makes a wide assortment of jam and jelly. As we were leaving, Sharon said Take care of each other. A slight twist from the usual take care of yourself. That summarizes the type of hosts Tony and Sharon were during our stay. They went the extra mile and cared about our experience and comfort.

Stayed May 7, 2025My husband and I enjoyed our one night stay immensely! I would definitely want to stay there again if I ever return to that area. Tony and Sharon thought of everything! They were very gracious hosts and made us feel very welcome. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. Closet space was available and a little fridge was located in the bathroom that also had goodies in there if we wanted them. The bathroom had a combo jetted tub/shower and a hair dryer available. We also had access to their game room, dining room for the included breakfast, and that beautiful covered porch. We opted to have dinner there and we selected our meal from their menu a few days prior to arriving. It was absolutely delicious! Breakfast the next morning was also wonderful! They were very conscientious about avoiding spicy ingredients because of my digestive issues. Thank you both, again! I am a fairly quiet person and you both made me feel at ease right away. It's a beautiful home located close to Cave City and I recommend it 100%. More importantly, I recommend Tony and Sharon for their outstanding hospitality.

Stayed Apr 10, 2025Sharon and Tony were incredibly welcoming to my girlfriend and I from the moment we arrived. We loved hearing the stories behind everything in the home—every item seemed to have its own little piece of history. The house itself was beautiful, and we had such a great time hanging out with Sharon and Tony in the game room, playing pinball and Pigs.I'm so glad we stumbled upon their bed and breakfast on our way to Nashville. If we head back that way, we're definitely coming back—and bringing another couple along with us!

Of course, none of our clothes would have fit by then! The food!! Absolutely delicious-soup to nuts! Tony and Sharon really put their hearts into every detail-we felt like royalty the whole time. In addition, we had great conversation and a lot of laughs! Thanks for the highlight of our 10 day vacation! ❤️

Stayed Oct 23, 2024Sharon and Tony welcomed my wife and me into their home as though we were long-lost friends. We enjoyed everything about our stay: the comfortable bed, spacious porch overlooking the scenic hillsides (gorgeous in the fall), delightful conversations and, of course, the delicious breakfast with homemade jams, jellies and syrups. If you stay there, sign up for the optional dinners. We had homemade pizza one night and grilled steaks the other, and both were great — and generous enough to enjoy leftovers as lunches the following days.
