Romantic Suite with Private Veranda in Historic Canalside House at Vondelpark

We loved everything about our stay here. The apartment is lovely, with a cosy, homey, rustically elegant vibe, a nicely equipped kitchen, a very comfortable canopy bed, and sitting areas both inside and out on the heated veranda looking out on a green garden space full of greenery and bird song. The hosts provide numerous extras that are lovely little surprises, and they are very helpful and responsive to any questions you may have. The location is across a short bridge from Vondelpark, which is a treat to explore, and easy walking distance to great public transportation options. Highly recommend!

A true 10‑star stay!The place is incredibly cozy, with a charming cottage feel and a fully equipped kitchen. The toilet is separate from the shower, everything is spotless, and there’s even a hair dryer provided. Our host, Paul, was exceptional—he welcomed us personally, showed us around, and surprised us with thoughtful treats like chocolates, tiny pastries, and a delicious liqueur. He also recommended great spots to visit.The location is perfect: close to all the fun and attractions, yet far enough from noisy areas to enjoy real peace and quiet. A supermarket is just around the corner, and there are plenty of nice restaurants and bars nearby. The tram is only a 5‑minute walk away, making it super easy to reach the central station.We absolutely loved our stay here. Highly, highly recommended.

Paul and Karen’s place is a true gem in an already beautiful city. Paul greeted us at the door with such warmth and genuineness to welcome us and show us their space and also tell us all about Amsterdam and what it has to offer. The location is just a short walk to multiple public transportation stops that take you straight into the city center and the neighborhood itself has loads of shops, food, pubs, grocery stores etc within very short walking distance. The attention to detail inside the space was thoughtful and did not go unnoticed. We were very comfortable during our stay and had all the amenities we needed and more. I would highly recommend staying here and would love to return should we find ourselves back in Amsterdam.

Quaint, Cozy, Quiet and Comfortable. Hosts were a dream. A little further from the city center, but located convenient to Vondel Park and a short walk or tram ride to anything you would care to see or do. Could not recommend enough.

Paul was so helpful and friendly! The location is close to a beautiful park and easy distance to the city center without being near to the city congestion. A short walk to transportation and lots of restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!
