Wonderful and modern apartment on the ground floor in a very convenient location close to the city center of Groningen.
Location is perfect, very near to the bus stop and only a 10 minute walk / 5 minutes on our free bike to the city center. and only 5 minutes walk to the park (Noorderplantsoen)

Stayed Dec 14, 2025The location was fantastic. The studio was roomy and comfortable and we felt right at home. Olaf and Natalie were wonderful hosts and surprised us with breakfast several mornings which was very kind. Highly recommend.

Stayed Sep 26, 2022Such a gem....big enough to relax into, completely away, but easy walking distance (to say nothing of biking distance) to all of downtown Groningen, AND it's right on the river. Super comfy bed (none of this '2 twin beds' thing that's common in Dutch hotels), and the kitchen was a treat. Very 'home away from home.' And, of course, Olaf and Nathalie (though I only met Nathalie briefly) were totally accommodating. Olaf is a such an engaging guy: both knowledgeable and curious. I expect we could have talked for hours. I'd love it if we crossed paths again, someday. If you're in Groningen, and the Riverside Studio is available, don't hesitate. This is the one you want.

Stayed Sep 27, 2020Hello, this studio is very nice with a terrace at the water. The owners are very nice. 4 times of the 6 days we were in the studio, we got a little breakfast from Nathalie, the owner. Olaf gave us a free tour in their boat. In the fridge there was milk, juice, mineral water, beer and we got a bottle of wine. There also was fruit. 2 bikes stood in front of the studio, which we used almost every day (we did not had to pay rent for it), but the old centre is very near, you can easily walk to it. We enjoyed Groningen city, but also other places in this region. Appingedam was very nice and Winsum also. Thank you Olaf and Nathalie.

Stayed Sep 9, 2020Our stay in Groningen was perfect due to the wonderful studio and the excellent host. The studio was super clean and everything was perfect from the beginning to the end. This accommodation brings everything you need, and made our trip to Groningen even better. The host Olaf is more than hospitable, he brought us breakfast in the morning with fantastic cappuccino and gave us a tour with the boat around Groningen. Absolutely recommendable!

Stayed Sep 27, 2019Olaf was a helpful and attentive host with a perfect centrally located studio. The studio was clean, bright and well stocked, there were even a couple of bikes we could have used if we had wanted. Looking out on the canal the outside space was lovely, spacious and a great way to enjoy being outdoors in a private oasis. We had a great time and if we were heading back to Groningen we'd love to stay there again.
