Stayed Jun 5, 2026The property is well laid out, clean, quiet, and safe, away from the bustle and noise of Kahului. Why not 5 stars? We arrived late at night after a long flight from the mainland. Our assigned room had been programmed with the correct door code, but it was not ready for occupancy; it had not been cleaned or “turned over” from the previous renter. Calls to the host’s help numbers were unanswered. The host was eventually reached and did his best to make things right, giving us a clean room (which was very nice) at a discounted rate. The big frustration was calling Expedia/Vrbo’s 7/24 help line. Don’t believe their commercials, and don’t expect help to be their first priority. Expect someone in a noisy foreign call center who is following a protocol. The protocol demands that the customer send via email pictures of the problem. This was a very uncertain and time consuming undertaking in a rural area with minimal cell coverage. Only after finally receiving the pictures did that person’s supervisor contact the host. Lesson learned: always call the host before you venture out to the hinterland in the dead of night to confirm that your room is indeed ready. Don’t expect much help from the Vrbo help line. Remember that even the best host, being human, can make an honest mistake.

Stayed Apr 21, 2026This place is so charming and has beautiful ocean views. It is spotless and super well organized. Linens and towels were all very nice quality. And the included breakfast is convenient and would appeal to everyone. We were in Room 3 which is so pretty. Highly recommend this place.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969It was not easy to find but once we found it it was a very nice place. We stayed for 11 nights. There was no place to wash our clothes we had to drive for a while. The host and wife was very nice. There was not much to do around there so we felt we drove a lot. But over all it is a nice place.

Stayed May 24, 2026Room 3 was clean and comfortable and perfect for a couple. The house is on a quiet lot next to an open field. It is just far enough off the Hāna highway to be peaceful, but also convenient. The room was well stocked with towels and soap. The common area has a great kitchen if you want to cook while you’re here. The WiFi was excellent, and you’ll need it because cell coverage on Maui is sketchy. Things to do from here: take the road to Hana all the way to the National Park and hike to the waterfalls; go up the mountain to the other end of the National Park and hike down (and back up) the crater; shop on Baldwin Ave and have a meal at the Makawao Public House; eat at Colleen’s at the Cannery; and have a meal at Mama’s Fish House (, but worth it). Also, go see the turtles at Ho’okipa Beach. After each adventure, come back and relax and recover at this great property.

Stayed Mar 9, 2026The room was clean and spacious with an AC unit for the warmer afternoons/evenings. There was fresh fruit and breakfast self serve available and some chickens to greet you. If you are looking to make a big meal, there are few options for large serving bowls/platters but for 2 people it was just fine. The host came and ran the dishwasher and replenished the breakfast foods while we were out and about each day.

Stayed Feb 25, 2026This B&B was exactly as advertised! Clean, gorgeous views, breakfast fixings, and great location! You’re within an hour of any side of Maui and directly on the Road to Hana! Very pleasant speaking with other guests and their experiences. Only downside is that we were out so much exploring the island that we couldn’t relax and enjoy the house!

Stayed Jan 4, 2026Excellent stay on the North side of Maui. Spacious room in a very peaceful and beautiful location. Convenient to both the Road to Hana and the Haleakala Crater. Clean in general, but would ask the host (we never met in person) to pay attention to the counter and windowsills in the kitchen when they come by to run the dishwasher in the morning, as they should be cleaned (these are outside the area guests are asked to clean after using the kitchen).

Stayed Jun 19, 2025We loved the quiet and clean location. The property is nicely tucked away with a lovely garden and great view. Close to beaches and waterfalls. Our favourite was looking at the stars at night. Lots of bugs and geckos in and out of the building. Overall, really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Jun 5, 2025The property and space are beautiful. We felt like we were in a tree house surrounded by palm trees. It felt private even though the kitchen area is a shared space. We liked the help yourself concept to the kitchen. We enjoyed our private balcony as well as the common balcony. Wish we had more time to explore this side of Maui.

Stayed Feb 21, 2025Room was clean, shower was great, and location for heading down the rows to Hāna can’t be beat! We appreciated the complimentary breakfast options. We didn’t get to see the property in the daylight since we arrived and left in the dark but it was a great place to stay to get a head start on Hāna vs all the way on the west side of the island. Thank you!

Stayed Dec 13, 2024Lovely places, huge usable rooms. Was not clear common area would be shared with 2 other rooms, 1 who arrived very late and woke us up, another who left for sunrise and woke us up. Noise inside the house carries, foot falls sound very loud at 5am. The hosts have otherwise thought of everything, i mean everything. Beautifully layed out with everything you need, including 8 or so self-serve options for breakfast. A couple of lizards are living in the house, but they eat bugs, so it is totally fine! Wouldn't say the common area was clean, but the sleeping private area certainly was. Would happily stay again and recommend to anyone wanting to stay on the Hana Highway.

Stayed Sep 9, 2024The property had everything we needed for our stay in the area. The shared kitchen and common area allowed us to meet other travelers. The only drawback we experienced with Rm 3 was the A/C could not keep up due to the high ambient temps.
