Very clean and comfortable, especially the bed. The hot tub was awesome and the kitchen was well maintained. Ron was an exceptional host and very knowledgeable. He gave us the history of the home and made a map of the best restaurants and places to visit. He made sure the home was stocked with all the extras including robes and umbrellas. They even gave us flowers for our anniversary and necklaces when we checked out. Definitely recommend staying here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay in this beautiful historic Creole home in Faubourg Marigny. The location was absolutely perfect — just two blocks from Frenchmen Street and an easy walk to Bourbon Street, while still feeling charming and peaceful.Ron was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The 197-year-old home is full of authentic New Orleans character and was impeccably decorated by owners Mark and Ron with thoughtful, original touches that made it feel both elegant and welcoming. The king bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the fold-out bed worked great as well. The kitchen was stocked with everything — and more — that we needed, the bathroom and shower were wonderful, and the A/C kept the home perfectly comfortable even in the New Orleans heat. We especially loved having morning coffee in the lush garden surrounded by beautiful foliage, and the jacuzzi was such a treat after long days exploring the city. This home truly feels like New Orleans in the very best way. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Hot tub and garden area were beautiful. We used it every night. House was clean. Location was great. The bus/ETA stop was right up the street. Robert’s market was suggested by the owner/Ron. Great market! Ron made restaurant suggestions. We tried a few and we loved all of them. Parking is on the street, first come first serve, but Ron/owner was able to save us a spot upon arrival. Cutest kitchen!! Home has an amazing history. I booked this because of the garden and it did not disappoint.

Very comfortable king sized bed, washer/dryer worked perfectly , fully stocked kitchen and easy lounging living room. Hot tub is amazing and had a few cooler nights so were able to use it! Ron is an exceptional host. Extremely welcoming, friendly and responsive and lives right next door. Would stay here again!

This is our second stay at Ron and Mark's awesome rental. My husband and I attended the French Quarter Festival for the first time this year. Everything was within walking distance of the rental. It was a fantastic time. At the end of each day of walking, eating, and listening to the awesome musicians, we headed back to the room and soaked in the jacuzzi. As usual we were greeted by Ron when we first arrived. I love our conversations with him. He meets with us before he hit the road going home. It's as if we have a family member seeing us on our way. If you want a very nice, beautifully designed, relaxing home within walking distance of all things French Quarter, check them out. Just don't book it when we plan to return!

We are repeat customers. The location is the place to be. The rental unit is roomy, comfortable, and overall outstanding. Most important was the hospitality of the owners, Ron and Mark, two outstanding folks. The weather was super cold. Ron asked if we needed to borrow a coat and hat. Amazing house and the the hosts care about their house more than anyone in historyJust be aware that during check-in, there will be a talk with the host where he will go over the history of the house, the neighborhood and his life story in addition to the rules of the house. Overall it’s very informative and interestingHowever, this talk can take 75-90 mins so if you are hungry or need to be somewhere, make sure you mention that first before the chat. Also there aren’t any condiments so if you have leftovers or something make sure to ask for condiments from the restaurant Amazing place and we’ll be back!

My brother and I loved our stay here! This place is a rare gem of unique New Orleans flare and local color. (Completely *opposite* of many bland, neutral corporate cookie-cutter rentals available now.) Fun colors and impressive Mardi Gras regalia decorate the dining room and kitchen areas. Huge bed in center room is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Pull-out sofa bed in living room is also very comfortable. The iconic shotgun layout suited us just fine. There are big sliding pocket doors between the two sleeping areas. There is a full kitchen, a cute bathroom with walk-in shower, a lovely round dining table that seats 4, even a stackable washer & dryer. The outdoor space in back off the kitchen is a burst of tropical colors and plants-- with seating and a very nice hot tub. Furnishings in the home include carefully curated antiques, fine bed linens, modern lamps, and tasteful art. Location was perfect. We found free street parking right in front of the house. The owners live right next door, and Ron was a delight to work with. Highly recommend, and we hope to be back!

From our first interaction with Ron upon arrival until we left with hugs and beautiful beaded necklaces, we had a fantastic stay. The unique home is so eclectically decorated, there is always something new to discover. The mattress is very soft and comfortable with extremely plush linens. Yes, I had to use the small steps to get into the bed (I’m 5’2”) but it was like sleeping on a cloud! The bathroom is small but had everything we needed. The kitchen was well appointed and we loved the hot tub! And the location was perfect for walking the streets of New Orleans. We walked everywhere we went except for the one day it rained. We enjoyed our stay in the unique and historic home. It was very comfortable. We liked the ability to cook some of our meals and sit outside. The owners, Ron and Mark, went above and beyond in their hospitality. Ron met us and provided us with information not only about the house but the history of the neighborhood. He had recommendations on where to eat and suggestions on places to visit. The location is within easy walking distance of the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street. We listened to music every night on Frenchmen. There is a nice grocery store within three or four blocks and the bus line is close. There was coffee and tea provided along with a few staples like olive oil, salt and pepper. The ONLY caution we might have is that the bed is high. There are steps provided but if one has a mobility issue this might be a problem. With that being said, the bed was VERY comfortable. We had no problem getting in and out and we are in our sixties. We stayed for five nights. We highly recommend this property and can not say enough good things about it or the proprietors.

The hosts truly do think of everything to make their guests comfortable and it was so greatly appreciated. The time Ron took to walk us through any questions was something that I have never gained from a host. Location is absolutely perfect! Would 100% recommend.

This lovely home-away-from-home on a quiet street had everything we needed and so much more that we didn't take advantage of. My husband and I were in town for 3 days and 4 nights. Hosts Ron and Mark kept in touch to meet us, give us the rundown on the home and the neighborhood and were always available by text to answer any questions and give updates. The gorgeous, extremely comfortable home had plenty of cozy seating, a great king bed, full kitchen and bathroom, washer/dryer and a generous outside courtyard and hot tub. Embarrassingly, we were so busy in town that we never took advantage of so much of this. I especially regret not relaxing in the lush plant-filled courtyard. We easily walked to the French Quarter and caught a rideshare when we were venturing further. We definitely lived like a local, lacking nothing in this home and hope to call it home again on our next trip to NOLA. Thank you Ron and Mark for welcoming us so warmly!

We are frequent visitors to New Orleans, and this was our second time to stay here. The apartment is clean, well-appointed, and the bed is exceptionally comfortable. Ron and Mark are excellent hosts. Their attention to the smallest details make each visit special.

We loved staying at this VRBO! The house is in a convenient location and they provide excellent recommendations for places to eat or things to do. For folks going in winter, the small heaters they have in each room work great for keeping the space warm, and the window ACs were excellent on the one warm day we had. It’s a beautiful space and the back yard and hot tub are a perfect oasis to feel immersed in the city and feel private and protected. The kitchen has all the things you need for preparing a meal, although you likely won’t need to. The tea varieties on offer and easy hot water were extra lovely for us. Truly a great way to experience regular local life and walkable destinations.

We had a fabulous stay at Ron’s! He was a wonderful host. Gave us a tour and history of the home, and recommendations for the best spots to try (and where to avoid!). The location was perfect to walk downtown, to get to Frenchmen St, Bourbon St, or Royal St. I would 100% stay here again!

What an awesome place to stay. Upon checking in Ron met with us and gave us a tour of the property and gave us the history of the home. It’s pretty cool getting to stay in a home that is over 200 years old. The home is kept very clean. It was the perfect place to stay for our anniversary. We walked just about everywhere we went so staying here puts you close by everything. When we come back to New Orleans we will check availability here first. Thanks for being amazing host.

My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in New Orleans. This listing caught my eye because of the amazing vintage decor and private patio with hot tub. Ron met us when we arrived and showed us around the amazing property. Ron gave us history of their Creole cottage. A card and bouquet of flowers greeted us for our anniversary. Talk about thoughtful, it was above and beyond. You can walk to so many areas and we always felt safe. They left us maps and restaurant suggestions. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you would need. The cottage was spotless and cozy. My husband loved the history books you could read in your spare time. We hope to stay here in 2025 when we bring our friend to visit the area.
