Hygge Log Home Downtown with Great Mountain Access

Cozy cute cabin. Clean. Host super helpful. Kitchen well stock same for the bathrooms. Recommended for 6 people instead of 8 as the sofa is pretty small.

This was an incredibly cozy and well prepared property you property you will have the loveliest time staying in this log home.

Nice home in a good location. We walked to the main restaurant area and had easy access to Kicking Horse and CMH Purcell with our rental car.The owner occupies a separate unit on the property (I believe this is required for VRBO in Golden) and was helpful and friendly but in no way intrusive.Would stay again.

This is a fantastic custom-built log house with wood timbers stacked on top of each other. It is an exceptionally well-made home with a unique atmosphere. The location in Golden is very convenient to all stores, restaurants, and cafes, and was perfect for our ski crew to get to the mountain. The host is very responsive and proactive. We would love to come back and highly recommend this stay to others.

We loved our stay here it was great! What a cute Log home with everything we needed.

Place was easy to access and met our needs for hiking and activities in the Yoho national park

Nice, quiet place with plenty of room, within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shops, and within driving distance driving distance of hiking, skiing, etc.

The House was much larger than would have been adequate but it was enjoyed fully. We were not very demanding of its features. They were there at our disposal. Our stay and visit was unencumbered by the accommodation which we appreciated. Our was a great experience which I would certainly be inclined to repeat in the future, should the occasion arise!

On arrival the property had a musty/stale smell. General impressions of kitchen area were that it needed upgrading ie very dirty oven & cooker top, chipped and marked sink. The upstairs shower didn’t appear to work. Whilst the view of the mountains in the main bedroom through the very large window was excellent, the half height flimsy thin curtains were inadequate to keep out the light. Many of the thin curtains throughout the house had holes & tears in them. Compared with several other properties we stayed at on this holiday, which were considerably cheaper and far superior, the Hygge House was very poor value.

Clean, great location and the place had everything we needed!

very easy to find and check in. great beds. overall space was very comfortable and relaxing. Wood stove was great although i could not find any fire starter so improvised with papers we had. Could have used a maul vs the axe to spit wood. Could walk to down town though it was several blocks. As Golden is a railroad town there is quite a bit of train rumbling overnight but the log structure dampened that well and there were no crossing horns. Good host communication. Overall just a great place to stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely log fire, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, easy walk into town and easy drive up to Kicking Horse for skiing.
