Stayed Aug 19, 2025Sole Mio is a fabulous holiday home on the outskirts of Velletri. It is surrounded by amazing scenery but also within 10 minutes’ drive of the town.Julia and Paolo are wonderful hosts and worked extremely hard to ensure we had a relaxing and entertaining holiday. Before our arrival, they answered email queries promptly. Throughout our stay, they were always happy to recommend places to visit, restaurants, local walks etc.We stayed in Alba, an open plan cottage within a barn conversion. It had private access and was very comfortable and homely. Julia kept it spotlessly clean with regular changes of bed linen and towels. There was a welcome hamper with food and drinks, which was a thoughtful touch.Breakfast can be ordered from Julia. She provided a fabulous spread including juices, hot drinks, pastries, meats, cheeses, fruit and homemade cakes….all highly recommended! There was a private patio and seating area outside our cottage, perfect for family evenings with a glass of wine.Paolo and Julia keep the grounds around Sole Mio immaculate and there were so many quirky touches outside including a tree house and hammock. Guests also have use of a pool. Rome is a 50 minute drive away, or can be accessed via train from Velletri. There are also lots of local lakes and mountains to explore, with incredible views. Thank you Paolo and Julia for our truly Italian holiday, you couldn’t have been more helpful and we would highly recommend your beautiful place to anyone!!

Stayed Sep 23, 2019The best parts of Sole Mio B&B are the location and the hosts. The location is a short car ride from all the interesting places. The hosts know the area, the history of the region, nice restaurants, etc. Don't ignore their advice! We had wonderful food in a different restaurants in the area every day for six days in a row. Thanks Paulo and Yulia! A la proxima!

Stayed Sep 7, 2019What a lovely place to stay. Just an hour away from Rome a little haven of tranquility. The accommodation was spotless, had air conditioning which was a godsend even a lovely pool to enjoy. What more could you want? The owners, Paolo and Julia speak excellent English, nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to make your stay as wonderful as they can. Not forgetting the amazing breakfast you can order too, at a very reasonable 5 euros pp, which just makes your stay that bit more relaxing. If you want a see the real Italy, this is definitely a great base from which to explore!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We enjoyed 4 nights here, it was a lovely relaxing welcome back to Italy away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It really is very accessible to everywhere. This little quaint place Iulia and Paolo have, had all amenities and their help was at hand anytime needed. Lia the dog and Talibana the beautiful horse was a friendly welcome to us. We highly recommend even if you have kids. Thanks for having us.

Stayed Jun 30, 2018Paolo made us feel completely at home in a beautiful apt. in a gorgeous rural setting with many vistas. His recommendations for things to do were exactly what we needed to get our Italian vacation started. His historical knowledge and friendly manner were unrivalled on the rest of our journey. He directed us easily to some places we could enjoy that only locals would know about and we were grateful we had the time to do so. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and ready as we asked for it. A real great time in a wonderful villa with a true gentleman! Thank you Paolo! Bob.
