Zen Garden Guest House w Pool n Golf n Beach

Zen Garden was a joke. Could not stay had to leave immediately. Was NOT as described. Scammed me out of the money paid. Reported to VRBO no response since 10/1. Vacation ruined had to stay at local hotel. Want refund!

Everything was perfect!

From the moment I arrived, Michelle has worked to create a helpful, caring oasis. Comfortable bed, easy kitchenette, beach a quick walk away, lovely pool all made this a wonderful 2 months. I’m hoping to return next year! Thanks, Michelle.

This was our second stay here this year ... and we were even happier this time because Michelle turned the hot tub on for us each morning. If we could have stayed longer we would have! It is the perfect place for rest and recuperation -- even during spring break, because you are far from the crowd. The garden had even more blooms than last month, and was visited (in addition to all the regular birds) by both an ibis and hummingbird.

Nice place and location but property is quite dated. It had a great shower but kitchen sink, furniture and appliances are below average.

The property was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed a good degree of privacy, but also enjoyed interacting with guests in the other house and with our hostess. This is a great spot in an excellent, central location.

The Zen Garden was just what we needed! Michelle was a wonderful and accommodating host, the pool and garden areas were beautiful and peaceful. The studio had everything we needed (and then some) ... the beds were super comfortable with fresh bedding. We took long beach walks every morning, and ate brunch afterwards at the nearby cafe (highly recommended). We're happily returning next month!

Michelle is a nice host in a lovely setting with a pool and terrace and an easy walk to a well-maintained public beach/park. A great location but VRBO customers deserves better. I have many concerns which were politely and respectfully brought to the host's attention early on as my goal was to help her do her best—and not just to criticize as I am a tour provider and bnb host. What makes a place “nice” or of good value is subjective of course but mildew, a worn-out and stained mattress and a somewhat neglected place and unclean are not acceptable. The unpleasant smell of mildew was immediately apparent. I took photos, discussed it with her and wrote a longer review for her which exceeds the length allowed here. Despite the great location, I cannot recommend the place unless a competitive price is your only criteria or until the host cleans and corrects a long list of defects.

Everything was as listed. The property was peaceful for any vacation business or pleasure. Michelle and her Mom, and Lou were a pleasure to be with. The area was close to everything and you couldn’t ask for anything more. Will definitely be back!
