If you’re looking for a cozy place to stay, this cottage is ideal. For outdoor activities, the location couldn’t be better. For water activities, the equipment provided covers every need. For unwinding in the evenings, the choice of two fireplaces (inside and outside) accommodate any weather. The service is just as impressive. We had a minor issue, although it was nothing urgent the hosts still came to fix it faster than we could have imagined. In addition, every message we sent was answered promptly and clearly. We honestly couldn’t be happier. Proof? This was our fifth stay, and we're already looking forward to our sixth!

This was such a beautiful property and one of the cleanest, most well appointed rental houses we've ever stayed in! The waterfront access was an absolute joy, and the kids were able to play in the river right off the back yard. We spent hours just playing in the yard and the river (and took full advantage of the canoe and kayaks provided by our hosts). The house itself had everything we needed, was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and had every amenity we could hope for (even sharp knives in the kitchen!). A great area, and a fantastic house. Thank you!

We stayed at the cottage in the winter and had such a great experience that we decided to take a chance on a spring visit—and we couldn't have been happier. From the peaceful mornings to evenings around the firepit, the cottage really showed off its warmer weather charms. One constant through both trips was the incredible hospitality of the hosts, who offered instant support and flexibility all week long. We’re already looking forward to seeing what the cottage has to offer in the other seasons

Clean, quiet, and close to Whiteface. This spot has everything you need without being too big. Great communication with host. We had to add on another night and the response time was super quick to get it done. We would stay here again.

An idyllic winter getaway. The property is optimally located for both accessibility and privacy. The house is immaculately maintained and functional - with new fixtures and appliances throughout (not to mention the poinsettia put out to welcome us). Moreover, with fireplace and decor, it is as cozy as can be! As for the hosts, we could not have asked for more. Not only were they immediately responsive to all inquiries, they were very flexible when it came to our particular needs. An ideal option for any family.

Hosts were on site in this duplex. Super nice people, and they care a lot about keeping the property looking like new (2024 renovation). They set up a fire in the nice fire pit behind the house, which we used at night. The back yard was a huge slope of freshly mowed grass dotted with sitting areas and leading to a small dock on the north branch of the Ausable river. We used the kayaks on the property for lovely morning paddles in calm water. We stored our bikes in the shed and used them on the Lake Placid-Saranac rail trail as well as the Ironman route which follows nearby Rte 86. Check out the Barkeater Alliance for info on nearby mountain biking (Hardy Trails) and All Trails for hiking. Hungry Trout restaurant. Hosts ban smoking and vaping from the entire property, including the yard. Well equipped kitchen! We hope to return.
