Stayed Feb 7, 2020The property was very well appointed and spacoiuos, Ivan couldn't have been more helpful when we arrived. Property is located right on the beach with access via the garden. Nice porch out back and a deck at the end of the garden. Use of barbecue immediately outside the unit, who would want to go out to eat with so much fresh fish available and such lovely surroundings. Ivan and Carnie did also welcome us to use the pool set up in the garden but we stuck to the sea!! Thank you both for a wonderful stay, we were sorry to leave!

Waking up seeing the ocean every morning, walking on the beach gave us much relaxation after 4 1/2 weeks traveling in NZ.

Stayed Feb 24, 2025This Wainui beach Bach studio was perfect for my husband and I. Beautiful beach view, gorgeous beach just a few steps away. Our hosts Carnie and Ivan couldn’t have been nicer. Carnie contacted me a few days ahead to advise me of road closures and offered to put us up early to avoid the closure. There is some surf breaks on this beach so my husband was a happy camper. We hope to visit again as it is a special place.

Stayed Jan 24, 2025We enjoyed our stay in the basement flat. It was immaculate, great bed and the view is amazing across a garden and out to the beach and sea. There is a steep grade to walk down, and stairs to negotiate to get to the flat’s access path. The beach is delightful and the community a real working town. Don’t miss the farmers market!
