Stayed May 21, 2025This was the perfect place for the two of us to spend a week exploring Pompeii. There are so many positive aspects, it is hard to mention them all. The apartment is clean and quiet, and the beautiful outdoor patio is perfect for spending the evenings. The proprietor is very nice, and has thought of everything to make people comfortable. The building is very secure, and is located on a quiet street. Everything you could need is within walking distance: it is just 5-10 minutes walk to two different gates of the Pompeii ruins. There are several restaurants in all directions. It's close to Via Plinio, which is a wonderful street for strolling, shopping and dining. There is even a supermarket just a 5 minute walk away. As others have mentioned, the only drawback is one which is outside of proprietor's control: there is a high-speed commuter train passing behind the building at times during the daylight hours, but honestly it goes by so quickly that the sound is very short, and you barely notice it once you get used to it. And it doesn't run at night, so it doesn't interfere with sleeping at all. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Magiola and highly recommend it. We are already planning to stay there again!
