Vila Flori - House with garden 5 minutes walk to the Adriatic sea

This was the perfect place in a wonderful part of the world. To top it off, our host saved us by driving us to the train station in Treiste when I booked a Sunday reservation without understanding the cross-border bus from Koper to Treiste does not run on Sunday.

Garden apartment part of family home. Majda is friendly host with lots of local information. Twenty minute walk into Koper old town which at the time of our visit had lots of events going on. Local beaches a bit limited but easy drive to more attractive options. Plenty of things to see and do in the area, far more than we could do in one week

The apartment was very comfortable and extremely clean. Majda and her family were very helpful in advising us what to see. The kitchen,while not modern, had everything available for cooking. The location is just a few minutes drive from the center of Koper. There is a supermarket only a short walk from the apartment. We had a car so the parking space in front of the house was very appreciated.

We stayed in this apartment for five nights and it was exactly as described. Majda was wonderful with her communications prior to our arrival, providing suggestions of things to do, places to go, and recommended restaurants. She shared a detailed map for driving directions which we used with taxi drivers to ensure quick and direct transportation. Majda has a fantastic notebook, full of information on all the things to do and see in Koper and surrounding areas. (She nicely offered to put it back together if we pulled out pamphlets or other materials.) Her family were great hosts. Everything in the apartment was neat and clean upon our arrival. The apartment is two actual bedrooms as shown in the pictures. The kitchen has a table/chairs and basic cookware. We had sufficient cookware to prepare breakfast before we went out sightseeing for the day. We were too busy to even turn on the TV so I cannot comment on that. The wifi was acceptable, allowing us to use internet on our phones and kindles. The apartment is up one flight of stairs with an entrance in the back. The stairs were not a problem for us. We would walk downhill to the center every day where restaurants, market and taxis were all available. It's a beautiful walk, just over a mile. We frequently paid 3E for the cab ride back to the apartment at the end of the day as we were tired and did not want to walk uphill. There are two city bus stops very close to the house but with four of us, we just took a cab. Cab fare from the train and bus depot to the apartment ran about 7E which is very reasonable for four people and luggage. Cab fare from center to the apartment ran about 3E. I believe there is a parking spot available, but we did not have a car so did not need one. Majda included recommendations on car rental but we used cabs, buses and trains for our transportation so did not utilize the available parking. We appreciate the hospitality of Majda and her family.
