We enjoyed our stay, apartment had everything that we needed. Very clean and comfortable, beautifully decorated. Location perfect.

Amazing views. Very comfortable, fabulous lounge, dining area and main bedroom. Can't understand why it's not fully booked over the summer. Very quiet area, great to really switch off and spend time walking or with the binoculars.

We had a wonderful few nights here. The view and location are magnificent! The owners have done a brilliant job. The apartment just felt like home from home and so comfortable. I must congratulate them on buying such a comfortable mattress in the front bedroom. So many rental properties are let down by poor quality mattresses and I think it’s such an important part of a holiday break. It made a real difference and I came away feeling totally rested. Thank you. One thing you could do with is a separate chopping board for onions and garlic as I don’t like to use the wooden boards as it leaves the smell. Apart from that this place is just the best and we hope to return one day. Also a shame lots of places locally were shut but the Kames grocery shop saved the day!

This is a lovely, well appointed flat with terrific views over the Kyles of Bute. Great location, ideally suited for anyone who loves cycling, kayaking and walking.

Upper Alta is a very comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment, ideally located for exploring the delights of southern Argyll and Bute. The property overlooks the Kyles of Bute and we spent many hours watching the sea, scenery and wildlife. There is plenty of information on places to visit and walks to enjoy in the region which was very helpful. The Isle of Bute is easily reached by a short ferry crossing and is well worth a visit. We would definitely recommend Upper Alta and we hope to return on a future holiday.

This was a fabulous location for a break and the Upper Alta apartment ticked most of the boxes. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped and the views were wonderful.

Lovely apartment in fantastic location. Well appointed flat with stunning views. Close to the beach, village and great location for lovey walks. Cannot fault this apartment.

We stayed at Upper Alta a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed all aspects of our 5 night stay (apart from the varible weather!) As previously, the accomodation was clean throughout and everything we needed was provided. Access to the accomodation is up an outside flight of steps to the first floor so may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Also note that parts of the driveway can be quite slippery in places when wet. Although we stayed as a couple, the second bedroom will comfortably accomodate two adults or children. A travel cot fora very young child would probably fit in the second bedroom but it would more easily fit in the main bedroom. Views from the loung/dining of the west kyle and upper Bute are excellent and the small balcony is a very pleasant place to sit and watch the boats go by! Surrounding area is good for walking athough car transport is the only realistic option to travel further afield since the bus service is infrequent.
