UNIT #4 Crystal Shores Irresistible Ocean Front End Unit

Cozy, comfy, and convenient. We enjoyed our stay very much. The unit had everything we needed and everything worked! Would gladly stay there again. Definitely recommend.

We are repeat customers due to the proximity to the beach and the peace and quiet in the off season. This was an anniversary celebration and we were looking forward to having the beach all to ourselves. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Upon arrival we found about 6 bulldozers and a giant pipeline blocking access to the beach. Every morning at 7am we woke up to the sounds of heavy machinery dredging the beach. The one time I went on the beach I had to climb over a large pipe only to not be able to set out a towel and relax due to men driving the equipment all around me I totally love this unit being so accessible to the beach, usually romantic and serene but not this time. If I had known that this dredging was happening I would have not booked at this time, but the listing gave no indication that the beach was unusable. We did go down to Fisher Island which was better but still it was quite a disappointment for our romantic trip. Other than that, the unit is perfect, clean, but limited supplies (no toilet paper or paper towels). Towels are minuscule and we had one thin blanket on a night that got in the 30’s. We will probably be back but when the beach is clear of noisy machinery.

Great location right on the beach - steps away from an access walkway. Cozy and comfortable for the two of us. Easy walking down the strip. The only wish was for better weather!

I will definitely stay here again. The morning view of the ocean and 1 minute walk to the beach was just what i needed. Having a spot to park my car right by the unit and sit outside unbothered is an added bonus. Tge soace is clean and beautiful with everything you need. A really relaxing place to stay.

The host was very kind to keep us posted on the upcoming storm during our stay. The cottage was as advertised, clean and well equipped kitchen. We had a great stay except for a few days of bad weather.

We had the most relaxing time at this ocean front property! The unobstructed view was spectacular, especially for the sunrise, and the sunset! Amazing easy access to the beautiful and clean beach too. The unit has everything one could need for a pleasant stay, whether for a weekend or longer! The windows open at night brought in the fabulous ocean sounds. John was amazing when we brought to his attention a small matter, and was there to remedy it asap. We will definitely be back again!!

Our first thought when we finally entered was - how quaint! It was confusing on which door to use since there are two entrances. The patio door did not accept the check-in code. The bed was okay. We really liked the swivel TV with the option to watch from all areas of the property. The beach view and sounds were really nice. There were instructions to shower prior to entering the home but there is no outdoor shower or anywhere to rinse. We tried to be careful with bringing sand inside. The communication was slow. The host was emailed Saturday about us not being able to open to patio door from the inside and the response was received Sunday. On Sunday we asked if a later checkout was available and didn't receive a response until Monday as we were already packing up. Overall a decent stay but we're undecided if it's a repeat visit.

Easy access to the beach- next to public beach access so our son could visit. And walking distance to restaurants. Place was well equipped and comfortable!

This is our fourth summer staying here. The location is perfect, and the place is always clean and has everything we need. Love this!!

This is our favorite place for a short weekend stay at the beach. We will be coming back every year. However the floors were very, very dirty. I wiped something up and the paper towel I used was black.

Absolutely perfect for couple. Hosts left Anniversary card and goodies for our 46th celebration. Watched sun come up. We parked our car and was able to walk everywhere to eat and pier for ice cream every day. Cottage was exceptionally clean and spotless. We have been to Kure Beach several times and this is going to be our place to stay from now on. Already planning a birthday trip. We are in 60's and we were comfortable walking down to beach due to the accessible walkway and just a few short steps to the sandy beach. Perfect location for a trip to Kure Beach. Hosts also provided comfortable chairs for the beach that we really enjoyed. Easiest check in and out ever. Soft towels. We slept like babies in the bed. Very roomy with open floor plan. Look no further. This is your place to stay. We even saw a sunset marriage proposal on the beach on our Anniversary! Ps eat at Jack Mackerals. We are there 3 nights. Also Freddie's for pork chops. Kure Beach is great! And Crystal Shores is clean' quiet and relaxing!!! 10 stars easily!! Thank you great hosts for sharing you beautifully decorated beachfront cottage!!!

A great property with a beautiful view! The owners were so nice when I let them know about an issue, that was no fault of theirs, my first night there. They very quickly remedied the problem and the rest of my stay was wonderful. I will hopefully be back to stay there again later this year. 100% recommend!

We enjoyed our stay and loved the view of the beach. It was cozy and clean. The only complaint is that the hot water wasn’t hot, just warm.

Cottage was nestled into the dunes and just steps from the beach. Very close to town and pier. Clean and comfortable. Small space but fine for two people for a week. Nice seating outside to watch the sunrise.

Need to maintain fluid levels of soaps. Some containers were low or empty. The toilet flushing handle does not work normally. Ceiling fan on/off chain does not work. We had to hunt for the wall switch that was hidden behind the refrigerator. Except for the above items/issues, the stay was very nice.

Clean, cozy, and convenient Loved the views of the beach from the patio. The kitchen and bathroom had all of the essentials, and the bed was comfortable. Easy walk to restaurants, and a short drive to Fort Fisher and the ferry to Southport. My only complaint…housekeeping was still on site at 4:00, so we were unable to access the unit until she finished, at 4:15

Our over all stay was great , we enjoyed the place and location, only thing i would say needs improvement is the bathroom sink did not drain well and the water takes a little longer to get warm or hot , otherwise everything was good, and we will want to come back

Quaint studio apartment! Nicely decorated and very quiet ocean front Perfect R&R and would definitely rent again!
