This lovely second floor, two bedroom apartment is located in a quiet square only a minutes’ walk from the Cow Gate and the Royal Mile in the heart of Edinburgh’s Historic Old Town close to many of Edinburgh’s most visited tourist attractions and the bustling centre of the Edinburgh Fringe. The attractive second floor apartment has been recently redecorated and furnished and makes a perfect base for visitors to Edinburgh. The characteristic alleyways of the area also house afantastic selection of cafes, bars, shops and restaurants.

The front door of the apartment opens into a bright hall way, on the right is a very spacious living/dining room with a large bow window overlooking the square. Seating is grouped round the old fireplace and furnished with a comfortable sofa and leather sofa bed, for flexibility of sleeping arrangements. There is a large modern dining table and plenty of seating should you wish to eat at home.

The small kitchen is located off the living room and is well equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, and plenty of glass ware, china, cutlery and cookware.

The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed, two bed side tables and lamps and a chest of drawers.

The second bedroom has twin beds, bed side tables, and a wardrobe.

A family bathroom with bath and shower over, a toilet and wash hand basin completes the accommodation.

    This was a charming property with the perfect amount of space for 3 adults. I only had a few issues. There is no air conditioning, which would have been fine if there had been a fan provided but there wasn't. You can not drive into the square so you have to carry luggage from the street up stairs into the square, then the 3 flights up to the apartment. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, this could easily be fixed with a cushy mattress topper.

    It was nice to have a bigger place to stay as a family of 4. The separate rooms that had actual beds rather than a fold out couch for the kids was great. It was spacious enough that we could get away from each other after spending a 5 day bus tour crammed into smaller rooms. The place was bright and clean. Great instructions were left for us. There was a new security gate installed the day we were there, so we didn't have the code for it, but a quick call solved that. They were very responsive and good at communicating. I would recommend this place to stay at while in Edinburgh.

    The beds were uncomfortable. We could feel the coils in the mattress. The night light by the door stayed on all night and we were awoken by the loud noises for people leaving the bar. We ran out of toilet paper. Some extra throws on the living room would have made curling up on the couches cozier. Some face cloths would also have bee appreciated. The space was very clean and the location was fantastic.

    Tron Square was a super comfortable flat. We had a family of 4 and there was more than enough ammenities to keep us all happy. And the location can't be beat. Just a quick hike up the Close on the upper level and you are immediatly on the Royal Mile. The biggest hiccup was the quality of the beds. You can feel every spring. But other than that, we were super satisfied.

    This property worked fine for our Scotland holiday. Location was good for us. Close to everything in Edinburgh. Within walking distance of attractions.Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. 15 minutes to the train station and bus depot. Only downside was that the rental is in a valley so every day started with an uphill walk. Probably not for anyone with mobility issuues.

    The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The location made it easy to get to all the attractions, from the castle to the palace. It is a block from the Royal Mile. We wished there had been a clothes dryer. Also more than one towel each for a six night stay. The one major drawback was the noise from all the bars on Cowgate, the street that fronts Tron Square. It is extremely loud in the front bedroom and not noticable in the back bedroom. The bars don't close until 3 AM. Don't book here for Friday or Saturday nights unless you're planning to be out partying yourself. Weeknights were fine.

    A well appointed flat in an ideal location - 2 minute walk from Royal Mile, 5 minutes from Edinburgh Castle and 10 minutes from Princes Street and the station. There is a wide choice of cafes and restaurants within a 10 minute walk. We came for the Fringe and the flat was 5 -10 minutes walk from venues at Surgeon's Hall, Pleasance, Assembly and the Gilded Balloon so in a perfect location for us. The flat was clean, well decorated and had a modern kitchen and bathroom.

    Everything was good, comfy beds, could use blackout blinds and paper towel and kleenex, but overall a good experience. Anyone with trouble climbing alot stairs may need to try something lower to ground floor. ?

    With being born in Scotland , the apartment was very Central for everything. I highly recommend this apartment it was very clean and the hosts were great.
