Calm, clean and modern in-law unit in tree-house style home in Oakland hills. The studio is part of the main house but has a separate entrance. High ceilings, amazing bay views, and surrounded by nature! There is a CA king bed in the main studio space, and a queen bed in the bedroom. There is also a separate office / bonus room outside of the bedroom, with a great view!

Stayed Mar 5, 2023True, the unit is in a picturesque area with a fantastic view from the kitchen window. However, we were disappointed with certain conditions of the property. 1. there were (5) flights of stairs from the driveway to the entrance. Be aware of this. 2. The grout on the shower floor was not clean. 3. There were huge flies in the unit which the flypaper on the window did not capture. 4. There is no thermostat in the unit. You are at the mercy of the neighbors above who control the heat. 5. Electrical power in the unit is minimal. Do not use other electrical appliances when using hair dryer in the bathroom. (The host did respond in about 10 min to reset breakers when notified of power outage.) The surrounding area is very scenic, however, please be advised.

Stayed Jul 29, 2022We had a wonderful week staying at this property in the hills above Oakland. The place was very clean, spacious, peaceful, charmingly decorated, and thoughtfully stocked, and Callie was a great host. The best part was the spectacular views of the bay. Highly recommend!
