We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in June. The apartment is superbly kitted out, with views over the River Dordogne. Jaqueline and Bruno made us so welcome and invited us to share in the produce from their beautiful garden, including fresh eggs from their chickens. We ate breakfast and dinner overlooking the river and several times strolled along it to the old town where we found some lovely restaurants. There is a Carrefour very close by and even a takeaway for that first night's meal. Jacqueline has thought of everything you might need for an enjoyable stay; we could not fault her hospitality in any way. Thank you Jacqueline and Bruno.

We give two stars because of the very strange behaviour of the landlady. We stayed for a week at the property on the top floor of the landlady's house. When we returned we got a rude WhatsApp message about how we had left the property messy and she accused us of not paying the “cleaning “ fee when booking. First of all, her accusation about not paying was completely wrong as we gave her evidence of the payment. Secondly, we did not leave the property in a mess, because quite simply, we were hardly there, spending only the nights to sleep. . She, herself, said, when we handed back the keys, “You guys were hardly using the property”. We were so surprised about this supposed mess, that we asked for photos of it, which she never sent. Also, when shown that we had paid, she never even apologised for her rude messages. During our stay, one day we hung three shirts to air, inside the property, next to a window. The landlady messaged us via WhatsApp that we should remove them as they upset the “look” of the property. We found this quite amusing as the shirts were inside the property and the street quite far away, but within minutes of getting her message, we removed the shirts. When we returned after the holiday, she even brought that up on WhatsApp! Bel appartement ruiné par la présence oppressante de la propriétaire.ÉVITEZ d'opter pour L'OPTION MÉNAGE, car Jacqueline s'attend tout de même à ce que vous fassiez le ménage. Constantes remarques sur notre façons de vivre.

A fantastic holiday experience - the apartment was furnished to a very high standard with excellent air conditioning. Location was perfect - walking distance to the centre of town. Our hosts, Jacqueline and Bruno, were welcoming and very friendly. We would recommend this rental to everyone

For anyone wanting to stay in an apartment only 5-10 minutes walk along the River Dordogne this is the ideal place. Jacqueline has recently put a wonderful modern stamp on this beautifully appointed apartment, which has everything and more for up to 4 people in 2 double bedrooms. The living area overlooks the river, and she has divided the garden (she and Bruno the owners live underneath on the ground floor) so that visitors can enjoy their own private area, along with dining table and chairs, seat, lawn, BBQ equipment etc. Jacqueline is on hand to welcome with keys, and very accommodating with times of arrival and departure. She not only had a welcoming bottle of wine and two spirits, but also left a basket of their own home grown veg and eggs on the steps. There is a Carrefore supermarket only 5 minutes walk away, and the stroll to the old town finds many restaurants and bars, with well preserved old streets. There is a private parking space with a gate remote control provided, and all windows have electronically controlled shutters. An absolute gem of a property which we would highly recommend.
