The Taiga 2, Studio Apartment

This property is one of the best we have ever been to! Super clean and everything you would ever need available to you. The host was there to great us and made us feel like we were home. Highly recommend this place.

Our studio rental was spotless and conveniently located—just a 20-minute drive from the Denali Park entrance. With a grocery store and 49th State Brewing Co. only a couple of miles away, the location couldn’t have been better. The hosts were incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with, which made everything smooth. The studio was located beneath another rental unit, which unfortunately meant we heard quite a bit of noise from above. Footsteps and movement on the stairs were frequent, especially during the early morning and late evening hours, and they often woke me up. While the space itself was clean and well-located, the sound carried more than expected, making restful sleep a bit of a challenge. That said, the space is quite compact. The internet was hit-or-miss, and despite the cool temps outside (in the 60s), the interior felt surprisingly warm. We ended up turning off the heat and cracking a window to cool things down. Still, it served as a solid home base for our Denali adventures.

This place is very clean and organized, good for a small family or a couple. The owners are really nice and friendly. We are glad that we picked this place.

We enjoyed our stay in this thoughtfully planned studio. While small, it had everything we needed for cooking and laundry and a comfortable bed to sleep in. The furnishings were up to date and the local artwork was aesthetically pleasing. The shower was big for a small space and the water was always hot. The bbq, just outside the door, was convenient and in top condition. The hosts were friendly and responsive to any questions we had. The houses in the neighborhood are spaced a good distance apart and we had a nice outdoor sitting area outside with lots of trees and an occasional moose sighting. A really great place to stay if your are visiting Denali.

The best thing about The Taiga 2 is the setting-gorgeous views and quiet yard to enjoy. The cozy little studio looked brand new, super clean and pleasantly decorated. Two big window to let view in with black out curtains for sleep. Table and chairs and mini kitchen w stove are nice! Comfortable snug little spot perfect for visiting denali and still having a quiet cozy place to stay out of the bustle.

This is a tiny but very well put together studio apartment. The host was very approachable. The area is rural but close to Denali. Added bonus was being greeted by their cute dogs!

The Property was outstanding. The property was clean and Todd and Julie paid attention to every detail. We really liked the provided laundry facilities and full kitchen. The view of the northern sky was beautiful, and we could see the Aurora from our window at night. I don't have anything negative to say about our experience at the Taiga House. I would stay there again if I had the opportunity.

The bathroom looked very new, with great waterfall shower and a handheld shower head that's very easy to control. It was very new. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the utensils/pots/pans were clean and well organized. The windows could be opened easily for good ventilation. The environment was quiet and peaceful, and it was just a few minutes drive to Denali national park. The only change I'd recommend is better signs for the unit. They might be there but hard to see when we were driving. We spent quite a bit of time finding the place, even though we were practically a few feet from the driveway. I'd highly recommend this place.

Very clean and everything we needed. Our host was very friendly and accommodating. Maybe an additional explanation of combo washer/dryer would have been helpful as we had never operated one and weren’t sure what to expect. Shower in bathroom was wonderful with plenty of hot water. A short walking path is on the property. A great place to reset after several weeks on the sea and road!

Perfect for our three nights. Enjoyed the hiking area. The location is great, away from the touristy crowds but still a few good restaurants and of course the brewery. Enjoyed our stay!

Excellent stay here during our trip, so close to the park and excellent amenities. The room was cozy for 2 with thoughtful design and decorations. The host greeted us during checkin to welcome. Absolutely loved staying here. So excited they have a gas stove and Chicago cutlery since I'm a personal chef. The bed was super comfortable,location is amazing,love the shower. The owners are so nice and responsive. Plus three of the cutest dogs had to give him lots of pets. I did not want to leave. Beautiful sunset that I can see from sitting at the dining table! This studio apartment is compact but nicely furnished with essential amenities for travelers visiting Denali. We were able to make a full breakfast in the kitchen before heading out for a long day of hike and tour. The in-unit washer/dryer was greatly appreciated to get clothes cleaned after many sweaty and dusty activities including a fun ATV ride

My wife and I stayed at Taiga 2 during our two day visit to Denali National Park. We were very impressed by the excellent condition of the property. Everything was immaculate and looked brand new! This is a studio apartment so the space is relatively compact but that was hardly noticeable because the design was so well thought out. We had everything we needed, including laundry, and we were completely comfortable. What a gem. Proximity to Denali NP was excellent. Taiga 2 was the perfect stay for us on our 40th wedding anniversary trip through Alaska. We definitely recommend this property to any couple looking to stay in the area. Perfect location as a base for visiting Denali. Cozy studio perfect for two people. Very quiet area with a nice hike right from the property. The owners are very nice and allowed us to check in early which was much appreciate as it was difficult to determine our exact arrival time due to road closures caused by forest fires. Perfect stay in every way.

The property had everything we needed and was quite efficient. Great views of the property, good location, near to Denali Park and grocery store. great bathroom, comfortable bed.
