The Skipper: Cozy Unit - Vintage Hatteras Charm; Perfect for Two People

Nice place to stay, quiet.

The home was very beautiful and clean. Well kept property with well working amenities and superb distance from the ocean. We were super comfortable in the home with no invasions of privacy from other tenants. Will definitely suggest to our friends and family. Very impressed and satisfied overall. Couldn't ask for a better host. Very responsive, kind and conducted herself with dignity, integrity, understanding and crystal clarity. Hope to come back next year! Thank you for letting us stay in the skipper!

Our stay was very nice, the climate control in the rental was wonderful especially with the hot beach days. It was clean and I loved that there was a smart tv to stream on in the evenings. We brought our own board games but I appreciated that there were some provided. The rooms were also very clean and comfortable.

Beds are very comfortable. TV worked well. Everything was as needed. No problems.

The Skipper was cozy and comfortable. Plenty of space for us. Comfy beds! The kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Groceries and beach shopping was less than a mile away. This is our 2nd year at this property.

Better than I expected! Fine for four people.Outside shower didn’t work but there was a hose hooked up to use in the shower area . I would rent again .

My daughter and I enjoyed our short stay. The apartment is 5 minute walk from the beach. Communication with the host was excellent! I would recommend with place for a small family.

Great place for the two of us to spend the week. Easy access to beach. The kitchen was handy for light breakfasts and lunch. The bed was comfortable.

This place is SO close to being 5 stars. If they added a few more home amenities, and updated a few items they do have it would be the perfect little spot!Im going to give an honest break down review for everyone because I was very on the fence about staying here, but it was overall great!Pros:- 2 minute walk to the beach- Large backyard area for playing around, corn hole, small inflatable kiddie pool, whatever you want!- Inside is MUCH more spacious than you'd think- Beds were incredibly comfortable- Built in storage in the bedrooms for plenty of unpacking space‐ Full big bathtub in bathroom- Host was quickly responsiveCons:- Host does not provide any basics for the stay (no dish soap, sponge, trash bags, etc. that some VRBO places include for you)- House is missing quite a few basic necessities (no toaster, cheese grater, oven mits, a decent amount of kitchen items you'd like to have like that)- Outdoor shower does not work- A/C does not work well in the rooms (they do provide 1 plug in fan but both rooms are noticeably warmer than living area)- Couch is a futon...Everytime you get up it moves and lifts. Such an easy thing to upgrade and make a much nicer living space Overall this space was great and we do plan on coming back next year! If you're on the fence, just booked it!

It was a nice older apartment. It was very clean and cozy. The TV was a bit hard to use but we didnt really use it much. It was about 10 houses from the ocean so not quite oceanside, but it really wasnt a bad walk. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there and would love to go back!

My husband and I loved the cozy beach cottage apartment for our OBX getaway. It had everything to make our stay comfortable. Linda was a fabulous hostess as well. The location is also perfect as it’s close to stores and restaurants. Highly recommend this property!

All wood interior, small but functional kitchen, a half a block to the beach, a mile to a life guard beach, walking distance to restaurants. What's not to like.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Skipper. The location was amazing and although dated, everything was clean, comfortable, and in working order (except for the outdoor shower and sink, but no big deal. We just rinsed off in the hose).

So many great things to say about this property. 1) The hosts were fast response and very helpful and terrific communicators. 2) The location is great. You can walk down to the beach. 3) The beds were super comfortable. I got great night's sleep, and you can even hear the waves of the ocean. Will stay here again.
