Stayed Dec 27, 2025Short Review: 5 stars for location. Had a wonderful time. Would come back. Holiday magic. Loved the firm TempurPedic beds. We parked and walked.A few things we enjoyed and how we dealt with negative reviews. Highlights: 1. Jaun Siao. Hands down our favorite. Mexican/Asian fusion. Get the ramen!2. Mid City Burger. 80’s vibe, delicious burgers! Closed Mondays. 3. Worth the drive: Wellington’s @ Carnegie Hotel. Decent breakfast, walked through the library and sat by the fire.4. Sentimental Journey. 3 story antique/ trinket store. 5. Little Magic Bar has a funky cool vibe.6. Southern Craft BBQ/Great Oak Brewing Co has good energy, good food, and soft tees for a souvenir. 7. Honorable mention: Red Meze Turkish gyros and Frierberg’s German schnitzel. 8. The parks are lovely and well-kept.Addressing negative reviews:1. “The walls are thin, we could hear the neighbors.” True. We played cards Sat night and they had music and loud conversation. Our solution: Jazz on the Smart TV.2. The bar lets out at 2:00 am and is loud. True. Our solution: The queen in the back room is better for sleeping. Without windows, it becomes much darker than the front room and is further from the bar. Host provides noise machines.3. There are homeless people. True. My husband and I intentionally stay downtown when we travel. All downtowns have some homeless people. We did not feel unsafe.

Stayed Jul 12, 2025Check in was easy, but we had concerns immediately upon entering the building. We noticed homeless people hanging out very close to the back door. Later we saw women dressed and acting like prostitutes. around 11pm loud music woke us and continued to play until 3-4am. During this time we heard loud voices and slamming doors outside our door. Flashing police lights shined the windows. We were afraid. #6police lights flashing in the windows. Around 6am someone knocked at our door. Needless to stay the experience wasn’t relaxing like the description stated. We chose this apartment to get needed rest before continuing our travels the following day.

Stayed Jul 13, 2025We had a quick one-night stay at this lovely downtown apartment loft. It is very clean & cute and had everything we could have needed. Our kids were excited to stay in a luxury loft b/c we usually stay in cabins on our way back from the Outer Banks. It is within walking distance to so many restaurants & shops, and a short drive to the Johnson City Doughboys baseball stadium, which was fun! Our only complaint would be feeling a little uneasy about the large number of homeless people that are everywhere. God bless them, but we encountered a couple people that made our children feel unsafe. The parking lot behind the apartment building was super close and nice and had video cameras, which made us feel better. We would definitely recommend this loft to anyone making a stop in Johnson City

Stayed Jun 19, 2025First, this is a great location and in walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and what ever else you enjoy. The ONLY downfall is parking is so limited. You have to be early to get a parking spot at either entrance to the building you are staying. Otherwise, you may have to park across the busy street and walk back. Which was our experience the second night we were there. My sister and I didn’t think the stairs would pose a problem, it just looked like a few little steps online. These steps were brutal for us! This is not a place to stay if you have bad knees. Lesson learned. I know it sounds like I am complaining, I am not. I just want others to be aware. Like I said in the beginning, this is a really nice place. I would definitely recommend it to someone who is walking to and from downtown locations and who doesn't mind stairs. Clean and adorable.

Stayed Feb 22, 2025I was in town with my teenage son and his friend for a concert and needed a place to stay that was clean, roomy, and convenient. This apartment was exactly what I was looking for! It's also in a great area with lots of dining and shopping options within walking distance. The owner provided great communication the entire stay. I can highly recommend staying here - and it was so much more affordable than the hotels in the area.

Stayed Feb 1, 2025This was the perfect location for our visit with our son to ETSU for a baseball workout and brief tour of the college. The accommodations were listed accurately and super clean with absolutely no surprises. Thanks for the stay and if he ends up at ETSU we will definitely be back.
