The Palm House *Walk Downtown

The house was beautiful and perfection situated to be able to easily explore the adea. LOVED having my own parking! The check in process was easy, and the hosts were spectacular at checking in. Will absolutely be staying here next time I'm in Wilmington!!

We booked this home based on the glowing reviews, but unfortunately our experience didn’t quite line up. While the house was clean and our stay was comfortable enough, the overall condition felt more run down than expected. The floors leaned noticeably and were uneven throughout, and much of the tile across the home was cracked.The bathrooms especially need attention — the toilet in the master rocks significantly if you sit off balance, and the shower could use some TLC. There was also an unpleasant odor in the master bedroom that made things feel less inviting.On top of that, airplane noise was very noticeable, which may be an issue for light sleepers. While the space did feel “lived in” and somewhat worn, it left us feeling a bit uncomfortable despite its cleanliness.Overall, this wasn’t an overly pleasant stay. It wasn’t terrible, but it also didn’t match the high praise from other reviews.

The property was clean, comfortable, and a great location to use as a home base for exploring Wilmington! Close to downtown and several lovely restaurants and cafes. The host was responsive and attentive. I would stay here again!

We were very content in this house. It suited all of our needs and we really enjoyed our stay. I appreciated all of the information posted around the house regarding directions and rules. That made it easier to enjoy the house. We had a wonderful time! I would say repairs are needed for a realistic idea of the house you are staying in. This didn't bother us at all but I could see it would be a source of contention with other occupants taken aback by the constructional maintenance of the home. Overall great trip!!

My friends and I stayed here for the weekend and loved it! This is a great location and perfect size for the 5 of us who stayed there. I would definitely stay here again.

Cute apartment, great kitchen! Neighborhood and neighbors were friendly, close to downtown but on a quiet street. Highly recommend.

Was a perfect place to stay!

This unique spot is lovely. It was just perfect for our little family. We came to visit several schools with our daughter and check out the area. This precious house is just a few short blocks from downtown--so we could walk and explore. Then next day we ventured to the beach--it was just a short 15 minute drive. UNC Wilmington is also only 10 minutes away. We loved visiting, and this was the perfect house to stay in for us!

We come to visit my step daughter that lives in Raleigh area for her Spring Break. We came to The Palm House so happy with our home for the week. Clean, big, beautiful and comfortable for a family of four. Hopefully we will get to come back soon. Thank you for having us.

This was a great historical place to visit. Great area for taking walks. We were very impressed with the area.

The property was great! Besides a few kitchen hiccups (which comes with an old house) it was a great property and had very responsive hosts.

The location was nice and close to downtown river area. The house was comfortable for the number of people we had in our group. Does seem like there is a little maintenance that has been deferred for a little too long. The age of the house gives it some amazing character a d charming feel. We were entirely satisfied with our stay at the Palm House. It is spacious and well laid out with the interesting quirks common to old houses. We appreciated that it was within easy walking distance of museums, restaurants, and the riverwalk while not being too far from the rest of Wilmington and the beaches. It had been well cleaned, had responsive hosts, and ample linens and kitchenware.Would stay again!

The stay was great! We loved the house and were able to relax and enjoy the whole home. We would absolutely come back and stay in the Palm again. It was perfect for our trip and stay.

We are so happy we chose to stay at The Palm House. It was exactly how it was described, and better. The location was great and the entry / exit plus check-in was simple and easy. We brought three cars and easily accommodated all three. Great communication from beginning to end. 12 Thumbs Up for the six of us. We felt welcomed !

Awesome stay

No worries about making the ferry at South Port if one stays here In Wilmington. This is a comfortable, well-furnished home in walking distance to the river-side attractions. Parking,WiFi and thoughtful touches make one look forward to a return visit.

Enjoyed this beautiful home for a GNO! The home was clean and very close to all the places we wanted to visit. Owners were very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend!

House had a great location, clean and well-kept, loved that we could check in early. Upstairs neighbors were a bit noisy and plane noise took a bit of getting used to.
