The Lazy Cottage at the base of Pikes Peak with private hot tub

A big thanks to the owners of this cozy cottage! We had a wonderful and relaxing time. It was our 25th anniversary and just needed a little time to getaway. The decor was perfect, since we were married on Halloween.🎃 You guys have thought of everything! The hot tub was a big hit. We definitely will be staying again!!

This place was super cute and was right in the middle of the places we were going so it was only a 30-minute drive to those areas. There was everything you could think of and more in case you forget something. I didn't get a chance to try out the hot tub, but it was a cute set up.

While it was good for what it was, we were hoping for a private escape from the city. What we ended up getting was a similar experience to the condo we left, complete with the rustling of neighbors. When you think of a cottage you usually don't think of a townhouse/basement unit.

We had an amazing stay at this cottage! Everything was exactly as described and thoughtfully set up. The hot tub was a highlight—perfect for relaxing and unwinding. It’s an ideal space for a romantic getaway, cozy and private with a really inviting atmosphere. The host was super helpful, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. We will definitely be back!

Nice clean small apartment, a bit bigger than most hotel rooms but with kitchen, washer/dryer, hot tub, etc like the listing says. Bed was nice but the couch was so so. Small power issue, host solved it in 15min so no problem. Also was well supplied.

Fantastic, super nice and comfy place, well appointed with anything you might need. Also a great location to get either in town quickly or further away. Would definitely stay here again, checking in and out was seamless, a completely hassle free experience.

Everything was absolutely lovely. Savannah thought of all the little things and is very welcoming and helpful if you need her - even on Christmas eve! We stayed 3 nights and only felt like we were 'attached' to the main house once, and that was when we needed fresh propane and called them over! Location is amazing, all the extras were so nice and the hottub was so great to relax in after a day out hiking! You can tell a lot of care and thought was put into the place. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

The overall experience was extremely pleasant. The area was a very quiet and beautiful place to spend our weekend peacefully and with all the ammenities given to us, we would definetly choose to stay here again when we are in the area.

Great cozy property, perfect for our stay!

Such a great little cottage. Place is well stocked with all the things people forgot to pack, all the way down charging cords! Very clean, plenty of towels, bathroom essentials, and even snacks for us late night snackers. Located close to several good restaurants; The Pantry which is a great breakfast restaurant, The Wines of Colorado, which is decent place for dinner. We also ate at Cantina Verde, which was pretty tasty. The Blue Moose Tavern was a cool little hang out place for a couple of adult beverages (this is a kids friendly place). All travel times posted are pretty accurate! Highly recommend this place for a weekend getaway with that special person in your life!

Cute and cozy. They provided everything that you could need (including snacks). The hot tub was amazing.

The kitchen was perfectly equipped for making a few meals at home. Loved having the hot tub option one evening. The room was super clean and I appreciated how things were stocked. The only thing that was a bit surprising to me was no central air. We opened the windows the second night and turned on the fan and it was perfect. Our first time in Colorado, it was great. We loved being so close to the garden of the gods.

Cute, remodeled, everything needed if you forgot, own hot rub in a decorated shed. Extra snacks, laundry. Location perfectly located to all of the scenic spots and downtown manitou. Very small part of the house on the right side of the house. Easy quick communication with the host who lives in the property house attached. Very quiet. Must go to restaurant 2 blks down-Wines of Colorado and reserve brookside patio on the bottom. Menu is phenomenal. 2 adults would be max for this awesome vrbo. Cute outdoor patio space. Xtra small couch, not greatest in comfort, lots of apps on the Samsung plus TV. But you are there for sights. Bed is very comfortable and 4 nice reg size pillows. The bed is partitioned off from living space. Pic not shown of that. Very slim parking. Slightly difficukt to drive in if owners' cars are both there. Pull in and out from main street. There were so many personal touches. The cottage was close to all of our planned activities. The hot tub was exceptional. Very comfy bed!Snacks and coffee and washing machine and dryer were wonderful as well. Super fast responses when I messaged the host.

Just a quick 2-night getaway. Loved all of the attention to detail and thoughtful accommodations. The decor was tasteful eclectic and very well executed. The snacks were a really nice touch.

Location is easy to find. The bed is comfy, hotub is HOT, side patio area is cute. The stove top works well and there is washer and dryer. I will reccommned

Such a great location for a Pikes Peak adventure stay - quiet and safe!

We enjoyed the little amenities that really make traveling easier. I would say that the property fit what we needed it to. It was okay, nothing wrong with it but also not overly impressed. We liked that we had our own space that seemed to be secluded for our own little place. The multiple skylights were a little annoying in the mornings until we read that you can cover them, so if you want to sleep in definitely do that haha

The host puts a lot of work into keeping this place clean and hospitable. She provided snacks, laundry detergent, shampoo body wash and some drinks. The only thing worth noting is that this is a room built into the back of the host’s home and you can hear their tv through the wall. This wasn’t a huge problem to us but it wasn’t clearly detailed in the listing and it may be a deal breaker to others.

Our whole family loved the lazy cottage. It was stocked with everything we needed plus some extras like candy treats, snacks, games. It is a tiny space and we were a little tight with 2 adults, a 4 yr old and a 7 month old but the location is six convenient we didn’t spend a ton of time there during the day. Would totally recommend!!

Everything was exactly as shown, perfectly clean. The location is top tier and gorgeous, everything worked as it should have without issue. This was my first road trip and it was literally all that I expected. The rental, the area, the people. Colorado Springs This Rental Pure Joy. I WILL be returning. Our stay was a nice getaway from home. We are caregivers to a older parent and dont have time to ourselves often away from home.

My daughter and I greatly appreciated this cozy . So relaxing and close to pikes Peak, Manitou Springs and delicious restaurants! We loved green Mountain Falls and will definitely come back.

We needed just one night and this place was perfect for us. The cottage is small but has absolutely everything you need including laundry facilities and snacks! My kids appreciated the snacks. It’s decorated very cute and is nice and quiet. The pull out couch is small and wasn’t large enough for 2 teen boys but thankfully we found a sleeping pad under the bed which accommodated one of the teens nicely! This would be the perfect location for a couple or two friends. If staying much longer than one night it might be a little cramped for families.

It was the perfect place to stay!

This little unit was a great surprise. The unit was well decorated and well stocked with nice amenities. From check in to check out there were really no issues. We have stayed in many rental location all around the country and this little location gets a 5 Star from us. Even the outdoor hot tub area was well done.

This little cottage was cozy and clean tucked in at the base of Pikes Peak. The instructions on how to access things were simple. The only thing we didn’t care for was the fact that it is attached to someone’s house and the description of the property does not indicate that. I would suggest that be included in the description of the property. Also the hot tub was nice however the water did not stay warm long.

This place literally is at the base of pikes peak and just a hop skip amd jump from all the sites and cute little towns. You also got to check out the hot tub. It's just what you want after a long day of traveling. We would definitely stay here again!

This gem is tucked into the side of a mountain in a perfect location less than a mile from the base of Pikes Peak and a short drive to Garden of the gods, Old Colrado City and several other landmarks on your CO Springs 'to do' list! The host thought of every detail as far as amenities, including having snacks available. The host responded quickly to any questiins we had. Adorable little place!

We came to the area to look at potential houses to buy and wanted to relax and enjoy a quiet evening afterwards. We couldnt have picked a better spot for it! The atmosphere was comfortable and the decorations were fun and tasteful. There were snacks, coffee, water etc. to enjoy as well as extra phone chargers and other things for travelers to use. The host definitely took all things in to consideration to make it as comfortable as possible for guests!

To begin with, this place was amazing and cute, I would reminded this place to everyone as it had everything you would need, plus we were left with some refreshment, clean towels, and just everything and anything you could need and want, felt like I was at home, I cannot express this any more but omg this stay was amazing, thank you for everything, I will be coming back in my future stays here.

This property is not large but it is fantastic if you're looking for a small place. It was spotless is decorated very nicely. They've really thought of everything and maximized every inch of space. The only downside is that there is not a lot of activities within walking distance but the short drives weren't bad.

The host was AMAZING! She is very understanding and replies quick. The place is very very clean and I love the decor. I gave four stars on “accuracy of online listing” only because I didn’t realize how small it was going to be. I would definitely recommend this to people, but I would make sure they know that it’s smaller than expected because I didn’t know that coming into it and I had to put my clothes on the floor because there wasn’t a closest or anything. I guess I didn’t read too much into it because the price made me think it was going to be a little bit bigger. Other than that, I absolutely LOVED this place. I think everyone should get the chance to stay here
