Super cute cottage close to downtown Mystic. Had everything we needed for a short getaway!

Had a terrific stay here May 2023! The property and entire area are beautiful. The cottage was really enjoyable, and the host thought of everything to make our stay just perfect. The location cannot be beat with so much within a really enjoyable walking area. Highly recommended for your next stay in this area! Thank you very much for a super experience!

Beautiful cottage in a great location

My husband and I had a great weekend getaway at Caitlin’s cottage. The location of the cottage is excellent. It’s super close to the mystic river and like the description said it’s walking distance to many attractions. Caitlin is an excellent host. She made sure we have everything we need during our stay. The cottage is just as described, very clean, cute looking and romantic!

Absolutely perfect getaway cottage in the heart of Mystic! Walking distance to downtown shopping , the seaport, dining and so much more. Perfect location ! The cottage is welcoming , charming and spotless. The hosts are very attentive , kind and welcoming as well. This is the spot you need to be at.. Whether you are visiting for the weekend or looking for a romatic getaway.. this is where you want to be!

We had a wonderful time at the Hemingway Carriage House. Private and set back off the road. We spent the day at the Mystic Seaport Museum and Mystik Village which had ice sculptures on display. We shopped in the various shops.We enjoyed a nice walk into town which is not far at all. We also visited the Mohegan Sun Casino and saw a Rat Pack tribute show,Awesome!! We would definitely like to come back in the future. It was the perfect weekend getaway. Caitlin and Chris were awesome hosts.

Very close to the downtown area. Super clean and well kept space . Perfect for a couple. Complimentary items were a very nice addition. Hosts were super kind and very communicative . Overall 10/10 stay, would definitely book again.

Our hosts were awesome and we loved staying here. We walked to town. We walked to the Mystic Seaport Museum. We drove to the aquarium. We jogged along River Road to the north. Just a great location and so quiet. The Carriage House was all we could dream of and we had a wonderful stay.

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of days on our way to Bar Harbor for the Mount Desert Island marathon. I highly recommend this cottage as it was clean and comfortable and exceeded our expectations. We could walk along the river to restaurants and shops. The hosts were very gracious and even provided us with snacks and sodas.

Its truly wonderful. If your looking for a cozy cottage look no further. This is it. Its a 2 min walk to the bustling downtown but when you return its quiet and cozy. Highly suggest sitting outside at the table on a starry night.

The Hemingway House was perfect for our visit to Mystic for the Wooden boat show. The cottage was clean and airy, perfect for a weekend stay. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants, hiking trail and seaport. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This was a lovely property with wonderful amenities. The owners went above and beyond providing beverages coffee and even snacks! Such a beautiful home and we hope to return! This is a perfect spot for an idyllic Mystic weekend!

Fantastic little cottage. Everything you need for a short stay. Fifteen minute walk into town.

The room was clean, spacious, bright and beautifully decorated. The hosts were very attentive and responsive. I would definitely recommend staying here. We had planned to walk or bike to town which seemed very doable but it was unseasonably cold so we drove. Everything of interest was close by and easily accessible.

Property was beautiful. Stunning views from our window. The whole town was relaxing with great food and shopping. Saw lots of attractions within just a few miles. Loved it!

Caitlin and Chris’ place is cozy, tranquil and situated in beautiful area. You can easily walk into town or drive to other great locations such as Stonnington, Westerly and Newport. This was our third or fourth time staying with them and have never been disappointed. It is so nice to stay during the off season. We look forward to staying here in the spring. I highly recommend this place.

The guest house is a wonderful cozy cottage right in downtown Mystic. Clean, attractive and nicely appointed. The hosts couldn’t be nicer people. Very responsive and helpful. So friendly we hope to say “hi” to them next time we’re back in town. Like staying with good friends.

Nice place and setting.

Husband and I stayed for the weekend. Amazing spot. So clean, cozy and cute. Felt like staying at a little beach cottage. The area is BEAUTIFUL. You can see the water from the property. It's quiet but also super close to all the best places to eat and fun little shops. We even walked to dinner at S&P Oyster one night. Close to many things. Only took us about 15 mins to get to Foxwoods Casino. Hosts were great and responsive. 10/10 would recommend.

The Hemingway carriage house provide a wonderful base for our Mystic and Stonington adventures. Enjoyable walks to the river and to downtown Mystic are easy and short and the cottage location is very peaceful and private. Well appointed and clean.

This is a perfect location and place to stay when visiting mystic! We have stayed here twice due to the convenience, beautiful home and welcoming hosts! Hope to return again.

We highly recommend Hemingway Retreat and we will definitely be staying here again. The cottage is clean, cosy, comfortable and has a nice ambiance. Caitlin has provided some snacks, sodas and water as well as a Keuring coffee maker and a variety of coffee. The property is quiet and is only a short walk to town, (sidewalks all of the way) which during the busy season alleviates trying to find parking. Walking at night felt very safe. Caitlin and Chris met us upon our arrival and were helpful with suggestions for places to eat. Thank you. Kathleen and Dean
