The Getaway @Summerleaze Beach- our 10th year of sandy toes,surf & sunny smiles!

Everything about The Getaway was perfect. Penny & Gary were the most gracious hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we could ever need. As far as location, you couldn’t get a much better spot, close to Sainsburys for your grocery needs and a short walk to town or the beach. We visit Cornwall every 2 years and The Getaway will be our home away from home every time now!

My friends and I had a fantastic stay at the property in June . The facilities were perfect and the extra touches from the host made us feel special. The location was just what we wanted with some gorgeous views. The host was easy to contact and made us feel very welcome. We couldn’t have had a more wonderful weekend .

Lovely October short break. Well looked after by Penny and Gary. Great location, very well set up flat with everything thought of for a comfortable, fun and easy stay. Even the weather even looked out for us.

An amazing property in a great location. We have been going to Bude for several years as a group and this was our favourite property by far. We will be booking it for next year!! The apartment is so clean and spacious. Penny and the getaway crew made sure that we had all the information in advance of our arrival - communications were great! The little touches is what made the biggest difference… On arrival there were freshly made scones, cream and jam as well as croissants for breakfast. Penny also dropped by and gave our two young boys seaside activity books. The kitchen is well stocked and the sofa very comfortable! The location is perfect, short 5mins walk down the hill (it is steep but no steps) to Summerleaze beach and a couple of mins to some of the best restaurants in Bude and the shops.

Beautiful and well equipped. The hosts were incredibly helpful. The apartment was fine for 2 older adults with mobility issues. (Access to the nearest beaches was more difficult.) So close to town and many restaurants. Sainsburys just behind so easy to get supplies. A wonderful time had by all, and especially by 6 yr old granddaughter, who on arrival was impressed with her gifts left with the Cornish cream tea. Definitely recommend.

Our family of five were sad to leave when the time came. The location is amazing where you have a magnificent view of the beach and the hills. Everything you need is within a short walk distance. The property itself is wonderfully kept and decorated. Penny and Gary were great hosts and made sure our stay was as best as it can be. They kept in communication to make sure we had everything we need. We hope to be back in the near future. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

A beautiful large clean & comfortable apartment where we could celebrate our Ruby anniversary. So touched by the thoughtful items left for us by penny & her team, very much appreciated

From booking through to check out everything was perfect. Excellent communication and even better welcome gifts. It is a perfect getaway for a family, with plenty of space and great location. Will visit again!
