The Garden Studio is a nature lovers retreat

The location wasn’t the best. The ad made it appear closer to the beach than it was, and the premium price paid also gave that impression. Alex was great at communicating what he needed from us, but it felt almost big brotherish. There were over the top signs and instructions everywhere telling us when to close skylights and cover furniture, even requesting we take out our rubbish (noting that the price charged for the stay would adequately cover something so small - I mean one gets away to avoid the daily hum drum ), when all that was adequately dealt with in the check in and check out instructions, as well as the farewell text message. This all took away from the stay - that is, it was really hard to feel comfortable there- to be fair, the studio was fresh and clean and Alex was kind enough to leave some bread etc, none of which my husband and I touched much of. We travel a lot and we pay for service and location - which, as noted above wasn’t to the standard we expected. It was my husband’s 50th get away and there was absolutely no room to stay an extra hour past checkout. In any event, a generally nice stay but I won’t be back there. This feedback has been given with kind intent so that Alex can hopefully take it on board. Kind regards, Carol

The accommodation was wonderful: beautiful design, bright, and well furnished with a kitchen extensively equipped. The garden and deck were a nice chill zone after a hectic day. Also appreciated the delicious homemade bread awaiting our arrival. Would definitely recommend this property!

Property was as described - nice stay for a getaway. No air-conditioning may make warmer days uncomfortable, but there are beaches nearby to cool off.

Excellent stay close to Sydney, but still far away from the big city trouble. The garden environment is really relaxing and the house was well equipped.

Wow, this place was beautiful. Private, quiet and a real place to disconnect. You can stay in and listen to the rain or adventure into the national park. Arrived to a beautiful place that instantly makes you feel at home. So many nice personal touches, from the garlic, fresh bread, scrabble, throw rugs, heaters. Tv and wifi easy to use.Highly recommend staying here!

The accomodation was even more lovely than the photos. It feels very fancy, yet homely! The space is bright and sun-filled, with a beautiful private garden. It’s a lovely place to stay in to cook, drink, read, hangout with and relax in the garden area. The location was speculated and private. We saw a bandicoot one night in the yard at night.

We had a great stay at the property for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Alex was a great host, and the property was really well appointed and very private. We loved the peaceful location, wandered down to the wharf at the end of the street for a drink and snack at sunset, and an easy and beautiful walk in to Bundeena for coffee.

Alex was so lovely, the grounds of the home were so beautiful and the house was gorgeous and so clean. I definitely recommend staying here if you’re in need to disconnect, enjoy nature and relax.

Fabulous design, stylish, very well appointed and very good value for money. We loved the garden, the atmosphere, absolutely everything. We will definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable and well stocked regarding kitchen and books

We were at the end of a six month adventure and wanted our last two nights to be relaxing. The Garden Studio did not disappoint!The location near the National Park was perfect being serenaded by the birds.The studio had ALL the amenities you could wish for. We look forward to staying here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Garden Studio. Even though there are houses around you really feel like you're in your own oasis. Beautiful apartment, with everything you need for a trip away. Alex is a wonderful host, very thoughtful and responded quickly to my queries prior to arrival. Highly recommend this apartment — we will definitely be returning.

My husband and I spent 3 days at the Garden Studio, Maianbar to celebrate our wedding anniversary.The accommodation is spacious, well appointed, clean, peaceful and very private. Only a 10 minute drive from Bundeena, a great place to stay while we explored the sights in the Royal National Park. Our host Alex was very helpful and thank you Alex for the wonderful homemade bread. Highly recommended place to stay when visiting the area.

Space had everything we needed and more. Location, amenities, cleanliness, etc. couldn’t have been better.

We loved our stay. Alex was a great host and made us feel very welcomed with beautiful bread on arrival and a cute note. The architecture of the apartment was amazing and garden is very beautiful with a relaxed feel. The kitchen is well equipped and and has everything to make your stay comfortable.

Upon arrival we were welcomed to a very well maintained garden and pathway. Everything was clean and orderly, the area felt homely and welcoming. I and my partner would certainly come and stay here again
