Stayed Jul 19, 2023Very tidy and clean one room guesthouse attached to a residence on a quiet street. We heard no sound from neighbors, very peaceful. Amenities as expected but no television. A large person would find the bathroom difficult. This is NOT a short walk to the OSF complex and it's a steady uphill if you walk back after a performance.

Stayed Jun 21, 2026The location was great and the space was clean. It is essentially a basic studio style apartment/converted garage. The adjacent house is also a rental, but we had no noise or other issues with those guests. As other reviews note, the entrance is awkward with the AC sticking out into the main path, but certainly navigable. I traveled with pets and there is a small park nearby, but otherwise just small patches of grass along the street for bathroom breaks. I was there during an unusually hot weather spell, so the AC unit was working hard but not making much progress. A small fan would help circulate the air when the nights cool off. Also, this space does not have an area to sit outside & relax unless you take the small chairs outside.

Stayed Oct 22, 2025It was a comfortable place to sleep and shower. Would recommend not using scented fresheners in the room. On arrival there was a strong peppermint scent that was unpleasant for us.

Stayed Aug 14, 2024My husband and I loved our short stay at this cozy property. Host sent very clear directions and everything was as pictured. Shower was nice and we enjoyed the small fridge and microwave. We had our dog with us and all went well. Walked to one of our favorite breakfast places (Morning Glory) and just a short 5 min. drive to theaters. We also hiked and wine tasted. Perfect location for us. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed May 20, 2024The Beach Cottage is a small jewel of perfection. Everything has been thought of and provided for the comfort of the guest. The space is small but well designed, light, cheerful, and efficient. Minor issues were that I tried unsuccessfully to activate the floor heating before realizing that the faster way to heat things up was the heater until below it. Also, trash barrels in front of the house kept me from parking, also no big problem because I parked one door up the hill. Much appreciation of Sylvie's work on this and attention to every detail.

Stayed May 13, 2024I really appreciated the quiet location of this property. Close to anything you would want to do in ashland. I stayed for business and worked graveyard shift. I was able to sleep during the day without any interruptions. Might add a small table and chair outside to enjoy your coffe in the morning. I will look this place up on my next visit... this is how your stay should go. Great job to the hostess...
