A very comfortable and spacious ground floor Annex studio, offering self catering accommodation with a private patio and access to the garden. There is a double bed, a sofa bed and a large en suite with a walk in shower plus a kitchenette.

A family run bed and breakfast, self catering cottage and luxury lodge, Lobhill Farmhouse, Stable Cottage and Lew Valley Lodge offer a warm welcome, quality accommodation and a relaxed and peaceful stay in a stunning location.

Situatedin the Lew Valley this beautiful farmhouse and cottage is perfectly located for visiting Devon and Cornwall. Both the rugged north coast and the gentle south coast are easily accessible and glorious Dartmoor is just three miles away.

For my Bed and Breakfast visitors breakfast is served in the large farmhouse kitchen with a choice of an Aga cooked Full English Breakfast or a lighter option. The majority of ingredients are locally sourced with the eggs being laid just metres away by the hens in the family’s vineyard. Special dietary requirements can be catered for.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy the large garden and relax in the summer house or wander through the woodland, with views of the vineyard and walk further on to the lakeside.

Walkers and nature lovers will find a little bit of heaven on the door step. The 38 acre wood and surrounding farmland with the family's vineyard and Alder lake is wondrously peaceful, a paradise for bird watchers. There are also a number of superb walks on and around Dartmoor and many designated and planned routes locally such as The Two Castles Trail, a 24 mile walk between Okehampton and Launceston Castles.

Lobhill Farmhouse is also close to the Sustrans National Cycling Network, Route 27 also known as the Devon Coast to Coast which includes the converted railway path, the Granite way. About 30 minutes away is the Camel Trail at Padstow, one of the most popular recreational routes in the country, passing through the wooded countryside of the upper Camel Valley and alongside the 3

We felt very comfortable in this B&B in the best of taste of pretty country chic. Breakfast was accompanied by soft music from Janes LP collection, which pretty much impressed our 11 years old daughter. Jane was very attentive any shared little things with our daughter. She was very helpful with recommendations for trips in the area as well. Being interested in gardening, she even offered to share her Mexican daisies with us. This stay way a great start in our South Western England vacation.

Warm welcome from Jane. Lovely room, with private outside terrace. Home from home feel. Breakfast very tasty 😋 Ideal for visit to Alder vineyard, 10 min walk through the woods. Wished we stayed another night.

It was perfect to stay with our dogs and walk to the Alder vineyard for our tour and lunch. We were able to check in first and did not need to use the car until we left

It's such a lovely situation. Extra fees to stay for one night, and if course the additional £25 for our dog made it a 3 out of 5 for value for money, but I was willing to pay. A great spot if you are doing the wine tasting. Facilities were good, apart from a WiFi code which doesn't work. But it didn't take from a lovely stay. The owners grandchildren are noisy above the Annex which could be difficult for some but we had a great stay and would come again.

Jane makes you feel so welcome. Attention to detail is fab. The room was cosy, clean, comfortable with lovely extra touches. Milk in fridge, homemade fudge and plenty of tea/coffee most welcomed after a long journey. Grounds are stunning and well worth exploring.

Lobhill Farmhouse is a gem. We have now stayed in The White Room, The Annex and The Cottage. All are well positioned, comfortable and well-equipped. Jane is a star host. Nothing is too much trouble for her. She is so friendly, kind and helpful. You could not ask for better. Beautiful grounds to sit in, lovely walks through the woods and an award-winning vineyard at rhe bottom of the hill. What more could you ask for?
