TAHITI - Orovini Cottage

Wonderful appartement in central Papeete. Could easily walk to all city locations. Parking and WiFi very appreciated. Laurine and her team kept us readily informed and made the arrival process very easy. Clean and comfortable place to stay with amenities. Would have appreciated some updated kitchen utensils, but we made it work. Kitchen cabinets are somewhat “used”, but had no affect on our stay there. VRBO site lists as one bath AND one W-C. Very confusing as there is only one bathroom with only one W-C. This was no problem for us as we were only 2 guests. Manual located in the apartment listed everything necessary, however, we did have a power outage during a storm. We did not know how to restore the electricity. The next morning, I asked a kind neighbor about it and he showed me where the breaker boxes were located (1 flight up) so we could reactivate the electricity. Perhaps this could be included in the manual. Overall this is a prime location if anyone wishes to stay in Papeete. I would highly recommend StayInn vacations and Laurine if you are looking for a place to stay in this paradise.

Bel appartement, spacieux, propre et bien équipé idéalement situé à quelques centaines de mètres des commerces du centre- ville. La résidence est très calme, propre avec en prime une belle piscine, et possibilité de garer une voiture. A recommander pour tout séjour sur Papeete!

We originally booked this location for 4 nights, but after a flight cancellation, our trip was shortened to 3 nights. The property management company was great with communication. They accommodated the reduction in our stay without issue/penalty. The agent who checked us in/out was also nice and helpful. The only complaint we have relates to check-in/out fees. if you do not check-in/out between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm you are charged an additional $50.00 USD (and they do not provide any dropbox for the keys). Our flight arrived after 5:00 pm, requiring us to pay an approx. $50 USD fee. We also left at 6:30 am; requiring a second $50 USD fee. So, if you are booking this location, be sure to either check-in/out during their business hours or get ready to pay some additional fees. Don't bother asking for a waiver of these fees - none will be given.
