The Parlor Apartment is located on the second level of our circa 1852 historic townhome with impressive ironwork located on Gordon Row, the longest continuous row of townhomes in the Landmark Historic District. We take pleasure in offering a genuine, unpretentious or 'cookie-cutter' rental, catering to guests looking for the unique charm and history that Savannah is so well known for. While The Parlor Apartment's kitchen and bathroom are modest, The Parlor is uniquely furnished to offer a combination of comfort and sophistication to create a distinctive and remarkable experience for your Savannah getaway.
Parlor Summary:
-Large living room / dining room with 48" large screen TV with cable and DVD player
-Sunroom with writing desk and seating with brick-lined walls
-Spacious 'Parlor' bedroom with King bed, cable TV, vanity, and seating area
-Semi-private deck with bistro set with access to our small gated brick courtyard
-Modest kitchen with full size gas stove and freezer/fridge. Country-cupboard well stocked with all kitchen cookware and dishware, cooking and eating utensils, coffee maker, toaster, and blender.
-Small bathroom with tub/shower combo and pedestal sink.
-Parking available on the public street with meters. See below for additional parking tips.
-A shared washer/dryer laundry is available downstairs in tiny laundry room adjacent to our courtyard.
-Accommodates 2 Adult occupants ONLY. Please inquire about our other comparable rentals if you require lodging for more than 2 guests.

This is an ideal location in the center of the Historic District! A block north of Forsyth Park and just one-half block west of Bull Street which is the center of downtown! Two of Savannah's beautiful squares are a stone's throw away out the front door. Walk to everything 'touristy' from here. Less than a mile to River Street.

A laundry room with coin-operated washer and dryer is available on site shared between the 5 total rental units in the building. The Parlor has access below to the quaint bricked and landscaped courtyard shared between the year-round residents and guest at this classic Savannah home.

Parking:
-Visitor's parking passes offered by the City of Savannah allow all day parking at meters and are available for $18/per 2-days or $14/day purchased at The Savannah Visitors Information Center at 301 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. (open 8:30-5 & Sat-Sun 9-5 / Cash only!) or at Mobility & Parking Services at 100 E Bryan Street (open M-F 8-5). A pass is only needed on weekdays (Mon-Fri) from 8-5. To purchase a visitor's parking pass, you must provide your license plate number/state on the vehicle.
-Parking is free on weekends! No charge for metered parking (and no pass needed) from Friday at 5pm until Monday at 8am.
Beautiful little apartment in a great location. Very easy check in and out. I will make this my go to place when visiting Savannah in the future!
Carmen went out of her way to communicate with us about possible COVID-19 shut downs. Her place was clean, sanitized, and exactly as advertised. You were able to walk to all 22 squares, the river, and major cemeteries with East. It was a beautiful stay and a beautiful soul who owns that place. Thank you Carmen for a great stay
My husband and I just spent a week at this property, and it met or exceeded our expectations in every respect. Carmen was great to work with, and the location was perfect. Quiet neighborhood but still close (15 min walk or less) to the entertainment, dining, and shopping areas. Kitchen is small, per photos, but it had everything we needed. Very efficient use of storage space. Bed quite comfortable. Porch area felt fairly private, we sat out there a lot. I was a little concerned about parking, but it was not a problem at all. We parked on the street the entire time, right in front of the unit, and Savannah’s online parking app (highly recommend) made the whole thing quite painless. We will stay there again.
Great location in a great city
What a find! This gem suited our needs perfectly: spacious, charming, and perfectly located. At first it seemed it might be tough to sleep as street voices were quite audible from the bedroom BUT it turns out there was no pedestrian traffic at night- very quiet. The owners were communicative and helpful, and the small touches- holiday decor, fresh coffee and sugar, Savannah reading- were appreciated. Parking was not an issue as the property is walking distance to all the sites and tastes we wanted to indulge in. We'll stay there again when next in town.
My sister and I travel to Savannah frequently and this is our favorite property. Perfect all the way around! But you cant go wrong with anything on Gordon Street, or any property with Carmen as owner/manager.
This historic neighborhood and building were exactly what we were looking for and we were not disappointed! The location was ideal and the upgrades to the property were so nicely done. Jon and Carmen could not have been more courteous, friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here on return trips!
We loved our stay in this beautiful Savannah apartment. Carmen was awesome and informative and added some really nice touches to our stay. Super comfy bed and great representation of historic Savannah. Only negative at all is the size of the bathroom/toilet area. A little cramped but it wouldn't stop us from booking here again on another trip!
We had the best time. The pictures don't do the property justice. Carmen was beyond gracious and the details were both personalized and in excellent taste. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I spent the weekend in “The Parlor”... our first trip to Savannah and our first trip without our children in 15 years ! We absolutely loved everything about this place ! The property was so clean ! It is gorgeous, in a good location, so quiet and peaceful but very close that you can easily walk to sightsee. The only complaint we have is that we did not want to leave ! The owners are awesome & the best property owners we have ever dealt with ! We can’t thank them enough ! We will most definitely rent from them again !
We could not have been happier. Lots of room. Very comfortable. Nice touches. One block from bus stop. Parked right in front. Owner gave great suggestions on things to do.
