Sunflower 1, beachfront, pet friendly

Overall size of apartment was surprisingly small. Only two sets of towels were supplied for two adults for a week’s stay. That should have been communicated ahead. Nobody wants to do laundry everyday of their vacation! The refrigerator did not make ice. Remote to work the fan in the living room had dead batteries. Our first trip to St George’s Island…not the best memories in terms of our accommodations.

This property is in a great location, but future guests should know it is very small. It appears to be a small house that has been converted into three separate rental units, so you do share spaces like the balcony with other guests. Since the property is pet friendly, that shared setup can sometimes be challenging. Thankfully, we brought baby gates, which helped quite a bit.The space itself felt extremely tight. There was not adequate room to unpack suitcases or even comfortably keep them on the floor without constantly moving things around.The biggest disappointment for us was the bed. The mattress was completely covered in plastic with no mattress topper or padding, which made it very hot and uncomfortable to sleep on. Every time you moved, you could hear and feel the plastic — it honestly reminded me of the plastic mattress covers from childhood. A simple mattress topper would make a huge difference in guest comfort.

Gorgeous sunrise and sunset views and unobstructed view of the beach and ocean from the deck. Our 3rd stay in this beautiful home. Perfect size for 2 and the island is very pet friendly. Quiet and clean. Comfortable king-sized bed and ample sized bathroom and kitchen. Nice sized tv in living room with great seating. Management was quick to answer my phone call and questions. Enjoyed our visit again.

Perfect for a 2 person getaway. The place is clean and has a great view and is convenient to the beach. Its a little small with not much extra space. The washer/dryer is shared with the other tenants of the house and we didn't know that until we got there but probably just missed it somehow.

My husband and our Aussiedoodle enjoyed a week in Sunflower 1 this week! The one bedroom cottage did not disappoint! It was clean and welcoming, the weather was nice and so relaxing. We're looking forward to staying here again this year.

Perfect stay for a weekend escape with wife. Quiet, beautiful, and everything you need without having to leave the island.
