STUNNING VIEWS! Madison River fishing retreat with river access. 45 min to YNP!

The property was absolutely perfect. It was spotlessly clean and all was as-described with great attention to detail. The host, Rose, was very welcoming and attentive - she even left freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for me during my stay. The view is stunning and this was an absolutely perfect rest and fishing retreat. I would definitely recommend and plan to stay again myself.

The apartment was just right for the 2 of us. The path to the river was a little too rough for us, but there are plenty of public accesses not far from the cabin. The deck was very peaceful and the sunsets were spectacular. It was our 30th anniversary trip. Definitely would stay again if we come to fish. Rose was an excellent host.

Our week at the Grasshopper house exceeded our expectations. The house is so comfortable and the deck views are just outstanding. The kitchen has everything that you will need. It is a scenic 45 minute drive to West Yellowstone and the park entrance. The house is located on the best fishing river in Montana. The quality and quantity of the trout in the Madison River is outstanding and the access to all of the best water is minutes from the house! The owners greeted us in person to make sure that we had everything that we needed and provided a great binder of helpful house and area information. For sure we will be returning next year.

I visit the grasshopper house annually, sometimes twice a year. This is a gem that is perfect for a relaxing, beautiful get away. Ennis is only 20-30 minutes away, west Yellowstone is about 45 minutes away, so it’s a great middle location to stage your vacation to MontanaViews are exceptionally gorgeous, the hosts are kind and responsive. I’ve gotten to know Rose over the years and look forward to our conversations each time my daughter and I come. Highly recommend, there won’t be any disappointment!

This place is absolutely amazing! The hosts were beyond amazing and made our annual fishing trip one to remember for a long time. We plan on coming back in a few years and look forward to enjoying everything this property has to offer. The deck on the front of the house is so fun, looking at the landscape, stars and listening to the Madison in the evening. The inside accommadations are exactly as you see in the pictures and are clean and comfortable. Thank you so much for letting us stay and looking forward to visiting again soon.

Spent three days here with friends. Had a great experience, the apartment was just as presented, Rose was excellent to work with, and we will definitely come back in the future. Great point from which to venture if you want to explore the Madison River valley and the beautiful surroundings.

The house was well maintained, nicely decorated and very comfortable. We enjoyed the proximity to the Madison River, and bar-b-q most nights with panoramic views of the Madison River valley. I would recommend this rental to anyone and we will absolutely be back.

This home is a super wonderful upstairs apartment with a nice large balcony that was extremely clean and smelled great. Rose was also so nice! She made us delicious cookies, and it was nice having a well stocked house with necessities. This is a beautiful, safe, and private location with the river nearby. It was nice just hanging on the property at times, and it snowed one day, kind of amazing because it was mid-June when we stayed! Not too far from YNP, YNP has some really cool things to see but it was too crowded, and we actually enjoyed a hike up Lava Lake more and the close small town of Ennis. We would definitely stay again!

The rental was wonderful; so clean, cozy and welcoming, with amazing views!! The owners have thought of everything and really made it feel like home away from home. It’s clear to see that a lot of thought was put into making sure that guests want for nothing. Highly recommend.
