A two-bedroom, two-bathroom treasure awaits you in what I, a New Yorker, consider the most fabulous city in the United States, New Orleans. A stay in the Antoine Bordeaux House, a three-story, Creole-style townhouse is like stepping back in history. A lot of time went into the home’s period renovation. It’s a very special place for me.

This stunning renovation that sits proudly on St. Philip between Chartres and Decatur, originally built in 1820 as a private mansion for Antoine Bordeaux, a French businessman.

A lush courtyard fountain invites you into the foyer. Up the staircase and through the door to your right, is your pied-a-terre. Original brick and stucco walls and cedar floors have been there since the 19th century. Each room has a vibrant color story, grounded by the antiquity of the furnishings.

Iron balconies are iconic to New Orleans, and yours is off the master bedroom. From here, or on your private roof deck, you can gaze over the old shingled caps of the French Quarter and listen to the distant music from the Mississippi’s old river barge.

Minutes from Preservation Jazz Hall and Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop (the oldest bar in the United States), this vacation rental in New Orleans puts you in the center of this truly fabulous city.

This place is a French Quarter Gem! Immaculately clean and so very well appointed, it’s a real find! The location is top notch, just steps from everything you’d need or want to see. You get a real taste of living in the Quarter here, with groceries only a couple of blocks away, and rooftop views any time you want them. Even in the heat of summer, this place scores high with icy AC and a respite from the humidity. The beds are comfy and the kitchen has everything you’d need. The huge tub is a treat all in itself! A beautiful little courtyard, complete with fountain, is a wonderful place to sit and read or just appreciate New Orleans. The owner is kind, responsive and informative and the property manager is only a text away. Treat yourself to this lovely property!

Magical once we were able to access the property. We had keys but the outside door key didn’t work. Otherwise the place was true to pics and very private.

We rented this property for a wedding elsewhere in the French Quarter. The character and charm of the property added so much to the entire wedding weekend...simply perfect. Thank you so much...…!

Very good central location. Good stay. The on switch for the ceiling fans is hidden behind the fridge.

The stay was amazing. I was able to speak to the owner constantly as I had questions and she was very responsive. The home was gorgeous and was comparable to pictures. It is in a perfect location near everything but far enough away that you don’t have to be in the mix at all times. Overall I am looking to stay there every time I visit New Orleans! I recommend!

Total immersion into New Orleans! My husband and I brought our two grandsons (14 and 9) to New Orleans for their first trip and like us, they were totally impressed with the condo's authentic NOLA feel, and my oldest even said, it sure is nice to be able to step out the door and be able to walk a half block and be in the middle of the action! Although convenient to everything (two blocks to Jackson Square), the condo was a cool and quiet sanctuary at the end of busy days having NOLA adventures! Hands down, the BEST place we've ever stayed in New Orleans!
